I had the same issue. In the beggining the game didn't start at all, not even crashed. I patched it with the 4gb and ****** up kingdoms.exe. Now not even my other mods will start. did I do something wrong? I downloaded the patch and open it on kingdom.exe. Btw I did removed the .rvm file.
