I'm a freelance artist specializing in concept art and illustration. I enjoy designing all sorts of concepts, but creatures and monsters are a personal favorite of mine. I put a special emphasis on the anatomy, realism, and physical workings of my designs, as well as ensuring each creature or character is as original and memorable as possible.

Not to my knowledge, but then again, that could change.

some color variation between each class member is being planned. Sucks that it's too late for me to go back and change it in the picture :(

As far as I'm concerned, it's perfectly reasonable within the lore for a particularly dedicated apothecary or techmarine to forgo his traditional paintjob for the colors and emblems of his chapter. Each class in the team will probably have more color variation in the final game, but I'm just saying, nothing we've created for the mod thus far can be considered too beyond the current lore of the 40k universe.

Perhaps the planet has something important to the Salamander chapter, perhaps it is a personal mission undertaken by a particularly vengeful company of Salamanders, perhaps the attacked planet is too near important Salamander worlds to be ignored, perhaps the Salamanders have crashed on this planet and were unprepared for the tyranids, or perhaps we wanted to make a Tyranid vs. Space marine mod and the chapter everybody voted on turned out to be Salamanders! :D Explain it how you want, it's happening.

I've got a ton of reference miniatures and books on hand, and yes, I intentionally tried to veer away from the armor with eagle emblems. I wanted to give them the chapter emblems and also make their armor a little more customized, unique to them rather than ordinary marines.

yeah, I gave him the armor with the neck guard, makes him look a little bigger and more heavily armored.

Garfusa2 Agreed, I've played Tyranids for 10 years and they attack whoever they damn well please :D Hive fleets worm their way through star systems to attack whichever planet the hive mind wants too, not whoever's closest to the edge. They slipped right past Baal to get to Ultramar when they first showed up.

I'm happy with all of them except the apothecary because, as you said, they don't really have a lot to set them apart. I one of my concept sketches I gave him the special backpack, but you can't really tell in this picture.

Thanks for the feedback everybody :)

Hey ya'll! Just posted my first Omnibus promotional image. (quality's a bit crappy because moddb makes me shrink it to 2mb, but you get the general idea) None of these are finalized concepts for the marines, but they are definitely coming along.

It's good to be doing concept art for mods again. For those so inclined, I posted up my first concept work for Omnibus in my images section. It's a very rough sketch of each class's variant helmets. I've been a 40k tabletop player for almost 10 years now, so this mod is gonna be a real treat to work on. Comments and feedback are welcome.

Dear lord, this page is still up?

Sorry to break it to everyone, but this mod is quite dead, and has been for quite some time.
I was head concept artist 3 years ago (since it was last updated) and created all the pencil drawings you see up there (the badly scanned ones). The mod leader (he was "burt gummer" first, then "shepard122" after that) abandoned this mod to make a multiplayer mod called Infection Outpost (which ALSO died 3 years ago, so don't bother looking it up.)

I gotta say, I was really hoping this mod would get made (I love Tremors, AND I was just starting out doing concept art). It turned out that the mod leader was only 15, so he ended up dropping this mod and the one he tried to make after it too.

Like I said, hate to be the bearer of bad news. But hey, now somebody else can make a tremors mod? Drop me a PM if you decide to, and I'll give you the specially designed human vs graboid multiplayer maps I designed. (I'm actually kinda proud of those)

Damn! It's been 3 years and the page is still up!

Sorry man, this mod is very dead. I created all the concept art for the creatures and players 3 years ago, and the mod leader (Shepard122) suddenly abandoned the mod. (the fact that he was only 15 and couldn't commit to the project might have had something to do with it.)

Sorry to be a let-down, but this is the first time I've been on Moddb in 3 years. I didn't think this thing would still be posted.

I'm Kiiml, and I'll be helping do some of the concept art and writing for this opposing force mod. I plan to re-create all the creatures Valve didn't carry over from HL1 to HL2, and put my own spin on some of the Opposing force creatures (pit drone, shock trooper, those guys) I hope to make the monsters fresh and realistic while staying true to the originals. My concept sketches might be up soon, so be sure to check back.

I just finished a concept sketch for the early-stage zombies. The first ones (easier to kill) still kinda resemble humans, but they get progressively worse. I'm hoping we can make this different from the many other zombie mods out there. This is a lot more like what valve did with their zombies, instead of re-animated bodies, they made small aliens that re-animate bodies and mutate them. What I planned out is essentially the same thing, but I'm hoping to add a lot more variety to the zombies, how they act, and how they work.

These parasites (Hell, I don't have a name for 'em yet) are smarter than headcrabs, but physically weaker when they're outside the corpse they live in. I'm hoping to give them a different look, color scheme, and different overall feel than the headcrab zombies. Check the concept art to get a feel for what I'm going for.

Yes, they're pretty much the same concept as the headcrabs (small weak aliens inhabiting bodies) but I'm going for a different look, and a different "behavior" if you want to call it that. Keep watching the concept art, the infection gets much much worse!

I think I'm finally registered. I've got some ideas ready to throw around, but if you have a specific concept you'd like to see, (new graboids, people, things like that) please let me know.

I hope we can squeeze as many props and details into the maps as possible. A lot of the garbage, furniture, and equipment props in HL2 already have the rusty look that's perfect for the setting. I have a couple ideas drawn out for small multiplayer maps, so let me know if you'd like to see them.
