Dude, you should update this, this mod crashes after the anniversary update

The lengthy explanation of why the hell was the original 2013 mod 50GBs is because Fake Factory was kinda of a Detail freak, and he added a pletora of new props and models into his mod, while also keeping his maps overdetailed, so not only there were tons of assets but the maps themselves were pretty hefty, then His mod has made questionable changes like changing the entire atmosphere and feeling of Half Life 2 and also adding straight up pornographic content, despite all this, a lot of people recognized the map detailing efforts and saw it as something salvageable, hence ZMA started this project 3 years ago, taking FF's original maps and trying to testore the more Half Life 2 feeling, if slowly evolved into what it is today

You dont seem to be familiar with FakeFactory's original mod at all so I'll try to save up the very elaborate and complex explanation and just say
Yes, this remaster of the old maps does use the 20gbs of assets, the original mod from 2013 was roughly 50GBs and ZMA managed to get it down to 20GB by just keeping whatever he ended up using after recompiling the maps

In this case, the remaster term refers to taking Cinematic Mod's original Map source files and overhauling it to be more faithful to Half-Life 2's original Vision, while also retroactively adding back ideas from other projects such as Black Mesa's xenian ecosystem and "Power Out"'s lights off chapter

There's also one thing you gotta understand that this mod was supposed to come last year but due to lengthy compiling processes ZMA had to delay for another 6 months while he underwent the process of optimization while as he was finishing his Medicine Grades

There's a few things to adress here
1-ZMA has always stated that the Mod's real size was gonna be 20GBs uncompressed, 10gbs compressed, over at gamebanana which is where this project started 3 years ago
2- this isn't modpack, none of the remastered assets showcase has been included... Yet, what is packed alongside the maps however are the original FakeFactory's assets from Cinematic Mod 13, which are obviously necessary because as the name suggests, this is a remaster and fix up of that
3- 3 years in the making is seriously no way to rush this release

how is it a disadvanatage when it's the main point of the mod

not that the original CM really had that good of a lighting, the coast levels were one of the worst levels thanks to the foggy ambience that just looks jarring

any estimated Release window for this?

Okay you arent exactly arguing against what I said, this is a proper remaster of Half Life while black mesa classic kinda takes a Remake back to the og engine

Sorry to report on this, but the UI scaling is still not fixed

Reflex sight is incredibly glitchy, it makes the gun disappear

Enriched now works on the new branch but it would still be neat to have all the improvements from the 25th branch into enriched

they are allegedly going to update the SDK soon so you might be able to take a look at what they changed once they do

Im gonna be that guy and say that technically this would be a remaster, not a remake. that would literally be Black Mesa

I have tested with mmod and it seems to work almost perfectly except for Office Complex which just refuses to load, seems to be related to a entity limit or something like that, there might be more maps with this issue on mmod
