Hello I am Kayaka a 17 year old furry. I am interested in History, Antiquing, Old Tech, Technology, Furrys. For hobbies I do Antiquing and Metal Detecting. I really love the work you guys have done here. I mean the combine model seems pretty realistic to the environment. One thing that really confuses me here however is the Alyx model, I know you guys were trying to create a different outfit for her and I don't have anything against the hat.. its just the coat, it looks like she had a different variation of her coat that was red and had some fur. I think it would be better if you guys put a little more variation into her coat. Maybe make the coat a trench coat or maybe a full on fur coat, which would make sense for the environment. I know its a pain to model, I do a lot of modeling myself, I mean I'm modeling a Macintosh model right now.. but I feel a little more work could go into the Alyx model. Anyways other then that I really like the work you guys have done so far, I feel like you guys have really embraced the style of the Half Life 2 E3 concept art, especially in the mapping. I hope what I said here won't deter your guys project too much, I just figured a little constructive criticism wouldn't hurt.

I really like the lighting you did. I think the most important thing in a atmosphere of a game is lighting. However I do believe that some of the lighting is too strong, but I trust you'll probably fix that in the future since this is only the first map and I'm sure your not 100% done with it. I really like you picked a wide assortment of colors for the lights, it really gives the feel your in a big city. Anyways I hope you continue with this style and continue to improve.

This looks good, I think it looks even more American then the beta ever was.. Idk about the 80s part.. I think some custom assets would spruce things up a bit. But overall this looks pretty nice, I like it.

I mean I don't really know what I would change... I have been going with this storyline ever since I first started making the mod so there's already assets based upon this storyline. If you mean that I haven't covered everything.. then that's true, this is just everything I've thought of so far.

yeah I might edit them to be darker, thanks for the feedback. To be honest I thought barney, breen, and the citizen models were fine but I guess they could use a little bit of darkening. I would 100% agree this model does need some darkening.

This mod will add and remake models and textures. I will also be remaking the storyline of Half Life 2 and I will also be making maps from scratch(and maybe adding a few small maps from the Half Life 2 Beta).

To further explain this image I want to point out some symbolism, first of all that gear is symbolism of the working class and or the citizen's. The stairs represent different classes in the combine order and if you look at the end of the stairs you can see the citadel which represents of course Breens class. You can also see that the citadel is rising over a city scape showing its authority. Overall the combine would have designed this as an obvious propaganda and would use symbolism within the propaganda to further make an understanding among the citizens. Less speaking of words more speaking through images. Now what exactly is the main message? The message is that there is more respect for those who join the combine order. Also for all those wondering what that word means, it's climb in french.
