An excellent mod! Being a huge fan of the Warhammer 40k!
It's a serious shame that there aren't many people playing this game. Max people I've ever played with is probably 10-12 people and that was 2 years ago.
Keep it alive!
This mod has come along way! However, there are still really obvious flaws that should have been fixed a long time ago.
For example,
LACK OF BANDITS - I literally spent 5-10 minutes roaming around the lands of Chaos searching for some bandits or other enemy to fight, all I could find was trolls.. which when you first start out are impossible to kill. This makes for incredibly boring gameplay, which has resulted in my playing with cheats on just so I could turn off fog of war and find some bandits. (Please add more starting bandits.)
DEFAULT UI/MENU/CURSORS - Almost all of the menus/ui interfaces and cursors are just plain old Mount and Blade, which completely KILLS the experience of being in the Warhammer universe.
AI SPEECH/DIALOGUE - This is a common issue with MANY mods, many mod developers leave the vanilla dialogue in which is another BIG immersion killer, especially with fantasy games like this. For example, when you speak to Chaos lords, they greet you in a manner like 'Well hello there, blah blah blah. Good day' Where as in reality... it would be more like ''What do you want WORM! 'How dare you speak to me, you peasant!' just a few examples. It may seem small to some people, however it totally kills the whole 'Evil Chaos' image.
Overall, at the moment it just feels like vanilla M&B with amazing new units/scenes, however lacking in everything department.
I'm sure these issues have been brought up before and will most likely be fixed, it's just I couldn't find anyone talking about it.
An immersive masterpiece.
5000 words are seriously not enough to explain how awesome and addictive this mod is, I think I must have added at least 300+ hours to my DOW time and I'm not even the slightest bit bored of it yet.
Playing only as the IG and SM, I still have the other factions to play and if they are as good as those mentioned above, then I really don't see myself ever leaving this mod.
This should be made into a game or DLC of some-sort and I'd be more than happy to pay £10+. Hats of to the team.
