Good question, there will be a few new tags to start with along with some distinct border changes, but it will mostly be like HPM with an alt-history flavour. However, there are some exceptions to that. For instance, Italy has been entirely reworked to accompany the lore.

Hi, we really value your enthusiasm for the mod. Currently we are unsure about when we can release the first playable version, especially considering the new university semester and whatnot. But we will be sure to continue working hard on it so we can publish it ASAP!

You raise some very good questions, we'll be sure to discuss them and try to find the optimal way to implement it to the lore. We especially like your various ideas on Napoleon II.

We appreciate your interest :)

So far we don't have any major plans for the Bonaparte dynasty as we simply haven't done enough research/planning in that area (although Napoleon III in particular is likely to make an eventual appearance). Currently we are just attempting to better shape the Bourbon Restoration in a world absent of the July Monarchy, but after we finish our first set of goals there is a very high chance we will add a great deal more to France throughout the game's timeline.

The basic premise of the mod has to do with the instance in which Napoleon never returns from Elba, so the harsh terms of the 2nd Treaty of Paris never come into effect. Moreover, some terms of both the 1st Peace of Paris and the Congress of Vienna have been changed slightly, all coming together to significantly alter the 1836 start (i.e. RĂ¼gen given to the Danish, the Dutch keep the Cape Colony and Ceylon, Bourbon France maintains its natural borders to the North, the U.K. keeps Sicily and instates the Duke of Clarence as ruler of peninsular Italian patriots, etc.). I should note, our small team has done extensive research in executing all of this so as to avoid any completely unrealistic divergences. As we ultimately seek to create a new playing ground supported by strong historical foundations.

Moreover, we have made various changes to some of the game's core mechanics (i.e. Crises start date) since, more or less, the mod has been built from the ground up (with inspiration and a great deal of assistance from other mods of course), and we don't want to have to make the transition from large-scale mods like HPM and HFM too daunting for interested players.

Finally, we have attempted to add a lot of unique historical flavour to our mod, along with various event chains, some founded in our initial historical alterations. For example, we added the Barings Crisis to better simulate the short economic recession that occurred during the late 1800s, as well as reworking existing events such as the Oriental Crisis, or the occupation of Egypt following 'Urabi's revolt. However, we have also added ahistorical possibilities such as a Japanese - British/Australia war over pacific supremacy, as well as a Flemish revolt against France, a recurring Dutch vs. Africaaner conflict, and many more.

With all of this in mind, a large assortment of new graphical assets have been introduced via our mod to accompany the new events and whatnot.

Anyway, we should note that this is our first mod, and so far it has just been developed through a partnership between the two of us, so our process hasn't quite yet been streamlined. But overall we are eager to continue learning the game in conjunction with new modding techniques as we prepare to eventually release it after our first set of objectives are met. :)

EDIT: Just to add, we are currently holding off from updating the various other sections of our mod page until we feel confident enough to release our mod at a specific date.
