I'm half way through the first level and I just gotta say Wow! It really ups with replay value. Graphics hold up well today. No noticeable issues. My only complaint (and it's a big one) is that the framerate is plain ***. Vanilla Crysis doesn't run aaaanywhere near this bad! Oh well. I can play photographer, I suppose. :P

CryEngine 2 is super old and unoptimized.

My PC is running a GTX 970 SSC, i5-4460, 8GB DDR3-1600 and Windows 7 64 bit.

I'm using the 64 bit version.

It was a last minute decision to add that bit. lol

I made a trailer for PB, if anyone is interested.

I don't have a clue, sorry. I have zero multiplayer experience in Doom.

I'm still having an issue where strafing and moving the mouse simultaneously causes stuttering. Mouse Smoothing fixes it but I hate the floaty feel of it. Brutal Doom doesn't have this issue. Seems like there would be a simple fix, but idk what. It's the only thing keeping this mod from being perfect imo.

Edit: AAAAAAAAAND IT'S FIXED. No more stuttering when strafing and aiming. Here's how to do it, in case anyone wants to know.
Open Project Brutality's PK3 file in WinRAR, look for the file "LOADACS" and open it in WordPad, delete the line that says "strafetilting", save the file and exit. Now the game will feel like it's suppose to. :)

PB stutters when I strafe while looking around. UDV makes no difference. No issues with fps. BD doesn't have this issue.

I don't understand the fix. How do I open the mod? What is LOADACS?

EDIT: I looked at the problem closer. The stuttering only happens when holding down diagonal walk keys (WA, WD, AS, SD) WHILE moving the mouse. If I turn on mouse smoothing, then all stuttering goes away, but then the mouse feels laggy.
Rowsol, can you show in-depth instructions on how to open the mod and disable the tilt mod? Step-by-step photos or video?

Yes, I have the same issue. It happens regardless of high FPS. Stuttering is very bothersome, so I went back to regular Brutal Doom v20b where there is no stuttering. Hope a fix will come soon.

That seemed to do the trick. Thanks! Soft shadows really make a difference.

Great mod for the most part! I have to keep soft shadows off though or else certain areas will have artifacts, like this: I.imgur.com

I don't see any comments about it so it might just be on my end. I hope there's a fix on its way. My main PC specs are Nvidia GTX 660 Ti (driver 353.30), Intel i5 4460, 8GB DDR3, Windows 7 x64.

Love this mod! I can't even go back to plain Brutal Doom anymore. I ran into an issue earlier (fixed now) that was causing stuttering when moving the mouse and walking diagonally simultaneously. It was caused by the latest dev build of GZDoom (as recommended to use by the PB Guide). The builds linked in the Guide are beta-quality (use at your own risk). So to fix the issue, I fetched the latest stable version, 2.0.05. No more stuttering. Hope this helps someone. Thank you modders for all your hard work.
