I tried setting the mblur to 0.1, and even resetting the User.LTX to default using the 'Restore User.ltx' option in the launcher, as well as replacing it with a backup when that didn't work. But no dice. I still get the Invalid Parameter failure. I'm not sure whats wrong. Everything was running fine before.

I'm having the same recurring issue even after this latest Hotfix 2 update. I attempt to start a new game, or load a pre-existing save, and the game always crashes, followed by this Fatal Error message:
-------------------------------------------------
FATAL ERROR

Expression :
Function : invalid_parameter_handler
File :xrDebugNew.ccp
Line : 1028
Description : invalid parameter

stack trace:

Press OK to abort execution
----------------------------------------------------

This is after having reinstalled Anomaly twice, with both hot fixes twice, and no additional tweaks to the files other than reducing mblur to 0.0 in the Appdata User.LTX file. Even in Administrator mode the game crashes on loading or creating game files. No mods thrown on top or anything, just the minor tweak I do to the User.LTX file to get the game running smoother.

H A L P!

Thanks.

Motion Blur. . . I don't like it, and Anomaly does in fact seem to have it, with no way to turn it off in any menu. So, as a tip, here's how: Go to your Anomaly Directory, and find the 'Appdata' folder. Open it, then go to the 'User' LTX text file at the bottom. Open it. In this folder, are all the graphical settings you can alter in game, and then some. The one you are primarily looking for, is a value called 'r2_mblur'. By default, this will be set to the value 0.2, however, by dropping it to 0.0, you completely remove blur. On the alternate side, I suppose you could also, increase the value, but I don't know if that will mess anything up. Make sure you save your adjustments. Disabling this helped add a few frames to my FPS, which is always welcome. Good Luck!

Speaking from personal experience: yes. All it will require of you is that you 1) have Call of Pripyat installed via steam, and 2) you have ran CoP at least once. Other than that, the mod is entirely standalone, and isn't even put into the CoP files directory.
