Probably a little better than most people who would react to this. Time does help a little I've been told. People this would hurt would be going through much the same psychological hell that Vietnam Vets had to deal with from all the people who treated them like **** after they got back. I have a friend in the Army, and he's pretty far gone as far as caring about a lot of things, but he still doesn't like it when someone runs up and starts screaming about how he's a despicable person for doing his job. That x1000 for the Nam vets who had untreated PTSD and had some punk screaming "baby killer" at them.

This just might be the single most stupid publicity stunt I have ever seen. All this will do is provide ammo for the Anti-videogames crowd, make it harder for some people to play games period (what would you do if you were your mom and saw this?), and insult people.

Honestly, this is extremely insulting to anyone who was at this kind of thing or had someone they knew die because of it. You obviously don't know what that kind of psychological stress is like for a victim, even decades after the fact. A lot of people and/or their relatives and friends who go through this develop PTSD, and this kind of thing will only trigger it, especially because of the flippant and aggressive methods you use to promote it. All this will do is cause people serious mental pain.

I am an avid gamer. I have been playing M-rated video games since I was 9. I remember Duke Nuckem, Red Alert, and C&C. And when I boil it all down, all I can say about this is:

Good ******* job, you Thundercunts. Way to hurt hundreds of people to make a point that didn't need to be rehashed, and set the members of the Video Games industry that want to make works of art back 10 years. I have no respect for you at all or your abilities as a designer, as you have shown a remarkable lack of maturity.

Oh, and about that challenge you posted over at Escapist; "It's our hope that one of these days, someone will leave a comment that actually puts forth a sensible argument against us."
This is as sensible as you're getting.

Canada, go ahead and add some more glowy bits to the Covenant sandbox. The space between hull plates would probably be a good spot. Eye candy is a good thing in this case, because it doesn't matter how detailed that texture is if we can't see it. Nice HUD elements too, I like them.

I have to hand it to you guys, this mod might move a bar or two for quality.

On that note, I'll give you some feedback on my impressions of the mod thus far; The FX looks damn spiffy for the combat with all the new animations, same for the ships. The menus I've seen look just as spectacular, and I assume that will hold true for new structures and the like. What I love the most are the unit icons. The fact that you actually changed those tells me that there are probably only a few things from the original game that are unmodified, excluding Voice Acting. While I hate recannibalized voice acting with a fiery passion in total conversions, I forgive you. Even crappy voice actors are hard to come by sometimes, and recycled voices are better than horrific spasm inducing wannabe Shakespearean actors.

Oh, and don't take the above the wrong way; I believe that sugar-coating defeats the purpose of constructive criticism.

Are you guys going to rework the Imperial Guard so that the armor is closer to Games Workshops figurines, or are you going to just run with the current reskin of the base geometry that i see in this screenshot? Also, it looks like the left paldron is clipping, but it might just be me.

This mod looks great, but I'm a little worried about some of what I saw in the embedded video above, specifically the Archer Missiles.

1) The missiles look way too big, as I believe that it states in Fall of Reach that they are about 2 meters long (someone should check this, I lost my copy of the book)

2) A longer cool down time between launches would probably be more realistic and balanced, as UNSC ships only carried a few hundred at most, with a few exceptions (supercarriers carried close to a thousand in all likelyhood, but this is never confirmed)
