if you get error missing directdraw or you need to insert CD, then just copy-paste the AOC "Campaign" folder ( along with "Media" inside it), into the age of empire main folder ( where you have installed aoe2 de mod). I think this should help, it worked for me to play the old aoc campaigns, with your mod.
