In this article I will write about the features of the v1.25 release.
- NEW ARACHNOTRON EPISODE: A new episode was added. Its name is "Spider's Adventure". Players need to choose the "Spider" campaign to play this episode. Players will control an Arachnotron in this episode. (There is a more detailed article about the "Spider" campaign.) So there are 3 total campaigns after now for players to play. Their names are "Tutorial", "Doom" and "Spider".
- INTERFACE: Some interface texts and graphics were updated to seperate my "Age of DOOM v1.25" mod from the original "The Conquerors" game. So this mod looks like more different and seperable than "The Conquerors" game in some aspects.
- NEW SOUND EFFECTS: Several sound effects were replaced with better ones. New sound effects are available for the "Spider" campaign. Also UAC Woman Announcer's (from Doom 3) some sound effects were added into Episode 2 of the "Doom" campaign.
- PROJECTILES: In the previous versions when a projectile falls on the ground it disappears from the map without any graphical or sound effects. In this version when they fall on the ground they hit the ground and players can hear their sound effect. Also the projectiles of some enemy units were updated. For Examples: Arachnotron uses yellow projectile this time instead of blue in previous versions. Baron of Hell uses red projectile this time instead of green in previous versions.
- AVOIDING FROM A PROJECTILE: It is easier to avoid from a projectile after now. All projectiles are visible into player's eyes and avoidable by moving to an another place. Even it is quite easy to dodge from "Former Human" and "Shotgun Guy" projectiles.
- PAIN SOUNDS: Some Demons have pain sounds when they get hurt. In the previous versions pain sounds weren't available.
- POLISHED GRAPHICS AND SOUND EFFECTS: The sound effects and sprite frames of Demons and some other units are more polished generally. Also Spectres, Nightmare Imps and Baby Lost Souls have separable unique graphics after now. Hellknights are smaller than Baron of Hells. Also Possessed Human enemies have more realistic height and weight. Lastly in the previous versions Demon corpses were disappearing after the reqiured time amount. In this version Demon corpses never disappear from the map (due to time reason). And also some other corpses were updated.
- NEW UNITS AND GRAPHICS: New units and graphics were integrated to the mod. For Examples: Players can see the red portal graphic from original Doom as portals. Also the explosions have 3 different types after now. Some new units have also new graphics. Players will encounter with new "Skeleton Enemy" and "Dark Guardian" units that have unique graphics.
- GAMEPLAY: Some polishments were also made for the gameplay generally. All previous episodes are more polished. Pain Elementals and Hell Pits create Baby Lost Souls instead of regular Lost Souls after now.
- TUTORIAL: It is more polished and also a bit more easier after now.
- EPISODE 1: Cyberdemon boss battle is easier and there are more helpful feedbacks for the player generally. Also there are several changings in the cutscenes.
- EPISODE 2: Skeleton shooter game can be replayed unlimited times without loading a saved game until player breaks the Mars record. New sound effects from the UAC Woman Announcer were implemented. There are a few changings in the cutscenes.
- EPISODE 3: There is a new minor addition about "Vampire King" in the end. Player needs to activate all switches one by one with a static order in the "Computer Station" section. In the previous versions player can activate all switches randomly.
- EPISODE 4: The major bug was fixed that is about the ammo mechanics. Because there was a major bug available about ammo mechanics. Car battle sections and car graphics were updated. In the Sabaoth battle when player repairs the UAC Security Devices the explosion (near of the switch) becomes inactive until UAC Security Devices take damage again.
- Minor Update (July 3 | 2023): Main menu cover image and the related pictures from the manual file were replaced...
