I agree, it seems like artifact hunting has been completely overhauled so that's enlightening.
Also hope that firearms will actually use the correct ammunition this time around.
Whats the point of making such a fine tuned overhaul when weapons all share similar ammo.
They barely ever respawn, and honestly in this version there's no point in collecting avidly.
The fact that food is more valuable makes artifact hunting a lesser priority.
There are tons of other problems with the ammo system and the guns that use them, but the fact that you can die from starvation within 12 hours is damn stupid.

I think you have misunderstood, by "no life" I was not referencing the AI or monsters, I was talking about the environment itself.
And in terms of the second incident you are right, but it's still definitely a far leap from the original setting where the environment would change subtly from map to map.
I'm not saying to make everything green, just to add a bit of versatility, the last thing you want in an immersive game such as this is to start thinking that everything looks too similar.

Also what I don't really understand Nicolai, is that you've said countless times that you want to portray a more "realistic" Zone, in my opinion everything being dead through all 3 regions doesn't seem all that real.

This mod limits the world to one solid theme, with no life whatsoever.
What I liked about Stalker was the versatility, and how from the outside it could look like an average area, Roadside Picnic mentions this a few times around.
With all the brown and rust, it reminds me more of Fallout 3 than Stalker.

Well that's definitely an overkill, even for new gen games.
Don't think we'll be needing 16GB of RAM anytime soon, in fact 8 is enough, and an i5 3570k is more than enough in terms of gaming.
If I were you I would have gotten another 560 instead of all that ram, but hey Ram is dirt cheap now anyway.

It's something you should consider, if you weren't a complete *** you would ask him why you think it sucks, get his though, and maybe work with it to please everyone as best as possible.

It wasn't negative feedback, it was people citing their own opinion on the mod, and where it can improve.
Just because someone doesn't like a feature doesn't automatically mean that they're a hater of any sort.
Like I said, ignoring feedback like this is basically plugging your ears and ignoring future improvement.

Okay, where do I start with that video of yours...
First of all, it's spelled A LOT not ALOT, secondly those "improved textures" don't look good at all, all you've achieved is giving the Zone an extremely ugly washed out look, making it look more like a generic brown and bloom shooter. If these are the long awaited visual and particle overhauls we've all been waiting for, I'm extremely disappointed and I'm sure many others would agree. Misery may have a theme going along with it, but that's no excuse just to add a shitload of rust to already existing textures. I even remember before one of the gun models had a rust texture on the rubber stock, which made no ******* sense. Opinions right... the only difference with mine is that you know deep down that I'm right.
Also notice here how they tried to hide the terrible draw distance with shitloads of fog, not being able to see anything within 5 feet. Horrible, horrible game developers.

They didn't finish the mod like they promised, so of course people are going to question it, and here you are giving the worst excuse of an argument "HUUUUUUR WHY DUNT U MAEK MOD URSELF". It's sad because you shouldn't be downvoted, so many buttflustered teenagers will spam comments and kiss up to the Misery devs at any given chance.
It's most of the time not even with questions like yours, sometimes it's suggestions for future addons which will still get blasted due to the devs not agreeing to it.
Meanwhile posts such as "omg i luv ur mod XDD" gets praised like no tomorrow. That's not improvement, that's completely ignoring feedback, which could really make this mod much better and yet it's still ignored. It's got to be the worst Stalker mod fanbase I've seen.
It needs work, that's not to say to abandon the idea altogether though. It proves to be excellent done right.
Well that's a pretty big disappointment, I thought you guys said this was optimized?
