***** sake man, this is fun xD

I already increased the mutant amount by 2-3 squads per spawning, so after installing your mod over Call of Misery, I experienced hell in Aprogram as Duty.

Starting off, I checked my inventory and put on my clothes, and not even a minute later I hear that the loners in the area were under attack. I step outside of my building and saw a barrage of mutants completely destroying the complex. As the brave man that I was, I ran to a more secure location, where I turned on the PDA, and there I saw, dozens of white dots completely invading the complex, until the last glimmer of yellow disappeared into the abyss.

Can't wait to explore this living hell, reminds me of the original Oblivion Lost 2.2 mod, in terms of NPC activity <3

Should update the red text too, since it doesn't contrast with the background anymore. It has this real ugly blur/blend now, where as the yellow and white text is instantly readable and compliments the backdrop.

Haha, means I don't have to manually order a surplus of squadrons to a point to artificially send a mass attack =)

The competence of the faction as a whole is really damn sweet, but also scary. I now fear the Monolith at the North, and Clear Sky at the South, potentially massing a giant army to hit one of my bases D:

A full on sandbox like that would be a lot of fun actually, though I'm only really speaking for myself right now xD It'd just be a nice break to stop playing seriously, and just mess around.

Oh, it's definitely not a bug man xD It's just several Duty squads moving to assault Yantar, along with two men assaulting Limnask =)

In many other cases, I would call them brave souls, but this is a time of war! I think they're plotting to betray me.

My most fondest memory of Shadow of Chernobyl, was sitting on top of Rostok tower, listening to the intercom whist reading up on the PDA's lore.

Ten years later, I relived that exact same moment, but this time I didn't have time to read up on the lore, because after two successful operations as Duty, against the Mercenaries and Freedom in Dead City and the Army Warehouses, I couldn't let up on the enemy.

My next campaign is situated in Dark Valley, and in order to secure it, I had to manage the redeployment of my men from Rostok to the Garbage to circumvent possible flanking hostiles, whist assembling my men in the Vehicle Cemetery in preparation for the invasion.

Though I'm rather upset at two squads playing hokey pokey with the scientists in Yantar. I think they're trying to defect.

But yeah, **** is fun man, I'm looking forward to playing more tonight or tomorrow when I get the chance. Thank you again for the mod!

Color coding the factions would be a bit difficult, considering how the factions have overlapping color schemes(based on uniforms), but screw it, my cents here, starting with the easy colors:

Loners - Yellow
Duty - Red
Freedom - Green
Mercenaries - Blue
Clear Sky - Teal
Ecologists - Orange
Military - Brown
Bandits - Grey
Monolith - Purple or White

I'd recommend to stray away from using varying shades for colors, like Sky Blue to Dark Blue, I think it'd be much better to keep the colors unique and isolated from one another.

Also I would've suggested Black, but it may look awkward on the PDA xD Maybe it'd be intimidating to see the entirety of the PDA map filled with the black hole armada.

Was about to say the same thing my preaching Monolithic brother said. People shouldn't care about these names xD

The only thing that makes something offensive is the context behind it, but alas, there'll always be people that're hypercritical over this stuff, and can prove to be a really darn big nuisance.

Been holding off from playing Call of Chernobyl till this masterpiece comes out again =) Damn well looking forward to modifying the factions since they're more customizable now =D

Can't wait to raid the bunkers and labs, and then cry two hours later when mainland gets overrun.

I've been waiting for something like this for a very long time. I made a makeshift edit to make combat more realistic, prior to this mod, but nothing to your magnitude.

Thanks man, I really love playing more on the immersive scale, of knowing that my shots only matter if I connect the hit at the right region, and not unload an entire mag and then some to take down an opponent.

Absolutely, but I'm very curious to see how well they play out and how well you're able to connect and streamline them, as well as how you as a developer can implement a cohesive story.

What you've shown us thus far, is a series of reskinned and edited models from numerous other games, mods, and modelers, as well as a ton of random dialogue from films and games spliced together, to simulate actual voice acting.

From what I can gather from your media, is that you're still in an early stage of development and you got your priorities rather misplaced. You're working on adding in variety and polish, yet we haven't been able to see the actual mod itself.

I know for a fact that you got a lot of tenacity in you, and that the art of working on a project, is to share it with your friends and the world, but I definitely recommend that you should reorganize and reallocate your time.

You're working on content that should be done after the core of your mod is developed. There's no need to work on so many models when your maps and gameplay isn't even finished yet. Also, this seems that it'd be a story oriented mod, how far into the script/writing are you?

Hard to gauge how different things are when viewing this from two different perspectives. I assume that there's less visible light and more fog? Looking good either way =)

IGotzNoSkittles78 - - 101 comments @ Project: Hyper

The issue doesn't necessarily string upon the fact that it's a beta mod but onto the fact that any ambitious mod is already a big undertaking. Half-life 2 beta mods are naturally a huge project to go through. My advice(You don't have to follow it), focus on a smaller sample range for your mod. Air exchange, Skyscrapers, Citadel, City 17, instead of trying to make EVERYTHING. Because you aren't going to be able to create EVERYTHING even with a big team.

Just whatever you can get done realistically, man. =)

NeoTokyo, Insurgency, Zombie Master, and Zombie Panic Source were the pinnacles of multiplayer mods back in 08. They all contributed really damn unique dynamics that pulls you into the game.

I'm really damn happy that NeoTokyo is coming back. I really hope that it stays active this time.

The atmosphere of this area is really stunning in comparison to many other mods. The level of immersion with the Cars driving by, Civilians walking around, and the ambiance in the background really brought the level to life. However, the absence of dialogue from the generic civilians is a bit distracting(for me at least). Despite that, this is some refreshing work, awesome job.

If you aren't taking pride and joy as well as feeling frustrated and bored, that means you're breaking out of the "game designing is fun!" department. At that point, you can only go two ways.
1) Give up on game design.
2) Become passionate on your work.

If you lack passion in what you want to do, there's no point in sticking with it is there?

Hopefully you'll stick around, it takes time. Good luck.
