1.41 is most stable version. However, it isnt compatible with your old savegame.

You don´t lost it, exe need this space for load game content. When you restart your pc you will recovery your space.

You lost something in instalation, maybe you need reinstall it. You remember install first 1.40 and then apply 1.41 patch.

No sure, we did it for PCs. You can change warband commands options only in screen options for keys.

Seducing companions is quite difficult feature, you need combinations of skills as persuasion, and atributes, specially Charisma. If you fail, companion will send you to walk.

1.40 is a installer (.exe). 1.41 is a rar file (unrar and overwrite)

There are others mods about viking age in TW forum ;) Even, some videogames, but I dont saw videogames/mods about VII century :) And it was more hard and drangerous than viking invasion hehe
