Greetings.
This is a good mod.
I sorta came "late to the party," and only "discovered" M&B:W and "1860s Old America" (v1.1) a short time ago.
I was interested in the American Civil War aspect, and this mod was one of the (very) few that covered that.
And was more "finished and polished" than any others, and the Mod Author was still active, and continuing to work on it (a rarity in itself ...)
And, lookee here now! Got me a brand shiny new update (v1.5), without any effort on my part!
[But, a LOT of effort, on Gabrilduro's (and team) part. Just sayin' ...]
Anyway, I'm quite pleased. The mod is very stable and plays well for me.
I haven't encountered any of the problems others have reported (but then, I read the READMEs ...).
The American Civil War is only a portion of the total tapestry of "1860s Old America," so there is PLENTY to see and do.
V1.5 seems to deliver all of the promised content described in the pre-release announcements -- and its a long list -- and some additional goodies, besides.
[I'll let you discover those for yourself -- that's part of the fun!!]
Gabrilduro has stated that he sort of favors playing the Native Americans, so possibly playing for, or aligning with, that Faction might result in an "easier" game play experience/quicker progression.
Only way to find out, is to try it, and see.
Hmmm ... Wonder if I could set up an alliance between Native Americans and the Confederacy [with myself as Marshal, of course], and try to change history?
Have to try that.
The underdogs shall have their day!
And for all this "entertainment value," I'm only asked to give it a rating? Good Heavens, I'm happy to do that!
[As soon as I figure out which of these buttons I'm supposed to push. Wait a minute! Aha! Under "Reviews." OK, Got it. I'm good].
I sure don't expect any "reward."
[I've got The Lottery for that, and it costs me a buck each time ...]
Besides, I've already got my reward -- "1860s Old America v1.5"
Thank You, Gabrilduro.
Good Job.
Of course, you can't always believe everything us RPG gamers might say, you know?
We're all "role-players," after all ...
Gotcha!, "Gabey"
Seriously, many thanks for your hard work.
