Could you also nerf diplomacy a little bit? Roght now umbers are my little slaves. But heres a story. I managed to fend off attacks on my castles as a nights watch(new playthrough) and thanks to the knowledge from previous game got all mountain clans, 3 sisters and rebel town on the island next to the eastwatch, while launching counter offensive on others and claiming hardhome and besieging northernmost village. Thanks to this i managed to save up a little bit(around 30000). Then umbers attacked starks, i stayed with the starks. I gor quest to approach umbers, and they send a maester to me asking for trade rights but demanded one castle. I countered that theyll give me lake house and last hearth in exchange to trade rights, 30000 gold, map and threatenqd to attack them.(i wanted to expand so i had full army at the last hearth siege.). They agreed and 5 turns later they demanded those castles, but i threatend and bribed them again into giving me widows watch and giants claw. Next time ill get something else.

Ok, tried chocolate potato solution and it works just fine, they do not stop the attacks but also do not attack x times in a row

Hello Joe, i played it quite a bit as a night watch and others are too overpowered. The main problem i have with them is a problem with their numbers and economy, and problem with nights watch units recruitment. Right now i have around 500 units in main castle, full in shadow tower and nothing in east watch. I also control three rebel islands nest to the vale and all mountain clans. But heres a catch, as others have 20 full armies all around my castles as shadow tower has a small gap through which they can go through, and i have to defeat them with only 500 as i am sometimes unable to recruit for 10 turns in a row as recruitment resets as siege ends and starts, in effect creating infinite loop of attacks with no reinforcments. You are unable to build, recruit or retrain you units. Also, if one castle falls, you are done for, as not a single one of northern factions are able to stand up to them. Elte army of umbers compromised of champions and axeguards got obliterated when fighting them. They also have the best economy despite controling only teh north. I also didnt see any white walkers in something like 70 turns. Maybe you should add something like killing the general destroys their morale completly symbolising their collapsing? White walkers are though to kill this way or another, the only way being shitloads of archers or spikes, which requires shitloads of archers. Also, killing the night king should make some difference like sending the plague to their armies or something, or making their whole cities go rebel, as him having 20 ww is ******** in an open field.I once have seen an army with 3 generals with would dstroy every army in open field. My economy is also **** despite building every tax increasing building i could afford. Three sisters are also almost uncontrolable without large garrison as nights watch has no means to change faith of the regions. Also, why are the other lords not helping at all? Maybe you should add something like crusade mechanics or passive growth of one unit of recruits every 3 turns in all nights watch castles, builders or stewards every 5 and rangers every 7? And maybe give nights watch ballista towers and some hand made castles? The wall does not really feel like ultimate defensive strusture here. Maybe do something like 5 layers of walls from the north and not chance of passage from north to south, and 1 layer from south, so it wont be overpowered indefense against other factions. Maybe also decrease amount of wights in one unit from 100 to 75 to decrease their war potential a bit.
