i was doing a custom battle and right as they were meeting my troops it crashed. why

okay. i got everything installed. after playing for awhile, right as the enemy were about to meet my troops, the game crashed. what the **** do i need to do to fix it

yes and you have to have the kingdoms expansion

Okay, I have medieval II for steam. i downloaded all three things, did the installer for the first one, did the renaming, and it brought up the third age loading screen and then crashed. upon trying to launch it again, it crashed before the loading screen even showed up. what should i do?
