Truth be told, it was never really our intention to cooperate with other mod producers for the purpose of creating a combined and coherent lore that would adhere to the backstory presented in Gothic I and Gothic II: NotR. After all, everyone has their own vision of how they want to build their worlds - whether they will be consistent with the lore of the original games or not.
If we can speak for ourselves, we do our utmost to stick to the backstory of these two games, but we also take the liberty of creating the island of Archolos (of which the original games spoke very little) in accordance with our vision and aesthetics.
Despite that more or less both teams stemmed from the same core, ultimately, we chose different areas for the groundwork of our mods. This said I suppose there will be very few places where our visions will collide, but the time will tell.
