No. Half-Life 1 took place in 2001. Half-Life 2 took place 20 years later, which is 2021.
The lamp post looks like that because of the industrial theme.

You have an amazing point. I only created this skin with freetime, and the trial version of photoshop (couldn't afford full). I had no education with texturing on anything other than the facemap and sheet.
About the blue spots, dislocated nose, I only specialize in cuts. That's all.
I am a mediocre editor. I would've added more, but I never had the time, energy or the experience.

No, they did not. The Resonance Cascade and Portal Storms happened in between 2001 and 2002.
