the truth is that the game crushes a lot but its still playable if you have patience and use some tricks ,because after all its a great mod .
The main problem is that thing with Carcathiocert.This is how i resolved that issue and continued:
-Before the turn the game crashes when the seleucid A.I. moves ,
1. you go to your keyboard and press the cheat codes entry ,usually its above the Tab, you type "toggle_fow" , so you can see the map .
2. you place the cursor of your mouse outside the city and keep it stady , you type at the cheat codes entry "show_cursorstat" and the output will be 2 numbers , you use the first one , will be something like 73,67 ,its like the map coordinates
3. you find a lazy general and see his exact name .
4. you type : move_character "[exact name of the general]" [the first number].
what will happen is the general teleported outside the city
5. then you just besieged the city , and thats it , you can continue the campaign .
Later if you actually reach the city in your campaign , you cant play any battle the game always crashes , the best thing you can do is bribe the city .

Secondly ,how you handle the frequent crashes loading or during battles , always quicksave during your campaign especially before and after a battle , its very easy you press Ctrl + s.
Lastly if you find anything else that crashes the game you try something differently , like change the compotition of your army or put away armies that join as second in battle
