I select the shortcut marked LaunchEAWX and changed the compatibility mode to Windows 7 but its still giving me the same error message. Is there something else I have to do?

Hey guys, yesterday I installed EaW on my computer but when I tried to play it I got the following error message:

"This application is not compatible with the installed operation system.
Please upgrade to Windows 98SE, Windows 2000 or better."

My computer is Windows 8.1 and I know the issue is making my computer compatible with the older program. When I looked online for solutions, I saw that one said to adjust the compatability settings by right clicking the setup.exe file in the EaW folder. However I am not completely sure where in the folder it is so could someone direct me?

If anyone has any solution to my problem I would really appreciate the help. Thank you.

This probably won't happen, but have there been thoughts about adding the Shadow Collective as a third faction like FoC did with the Zann Consortium. I understand something like that would be even more work but it would be a cool addition.

So the Deathwatch are with the Separatists. I guess the mod takes place before Dooku ****** them off.

Question: Did anyone ever the Republic at War Easter Egg Hunt? If so, what unit was picked to add to the mod?

I have always wanted them to do this. I can't believe they really are!

I respect all your decisions Z, but why would you pick Tofen Vane to add as a CIS hero? I looked at his bio and there isn't much to him.

If you were looking to add another force-sentive to the CIS, I think Severance Tann or Sora Bulq would've been better choices. Just my opinion, the whole thing is your call and I respect it.

Why is this guy unarmed? In the episode "The Hidden Enemy" a tsctical droid had a gun with him and was even able to kill a clone trooper with it.

How does one get Cad Bane and the Malevolence while playing Galactic Conquest?

Let me start by saying that this mod is ****ing awesome!

I have been playing as the Separatists. In space battles, I sometimes get the feeling that the ships are not firing back. They are also difficult to maneuver.

Is this just me or does anyone else feel this way? Just curious.

I am now using winrar for the installation. When I tried to extract the "Mods" files to the Forces of Corruption folder, this panal came up saying that the files could not be extracted because the path could not be specified. It was like this for all the files; as it tried to extract them, the list of files that couldn't be pulled kept growing longer. I don't get it. I thought the mirror I downloaded from was corrupted so I used a different one but the same thing happened. Somebody please help me out here.

I have done everything in the intstallation guide, yet when I use the shortcut it opens FoC instead of RaW. I am using Gold Pack and not Steam as the given scenario says in Z's RaW Troubleshooting table. What do I have to do to set up the link?

What I think might be the problem is that when I copied and moved the Mods folder to Forces of Corruption, no folder saying "Mods" came up. The files were sent to FoC because they were already there when I tried to copy them again. I am using 7-zip just so you know. Any thoughts on this?

What exactly is stream? I thought it was when you buy and download a game from the site. I just mail ordered mine.

When I clicked on FOCUpdate101, a message came up that said this:

Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption not found.
Please reinstall the game from the original CD-ROM and try again.

This happened to me before, after which I uninstalled and reinstalled the game. What does this means?

Still working on intstalling. Once you download RaW, where can I access "FOCUpdate101.exe"? How do I get to that? I also can't find multiplayerPatch.exe where I downloaded it. (I used 7-zip by the way)

I am in the process of installing the mod. I downloaded the guide and I don't know what they mean by "Stream Library". I assume that I am a stream user because I have the Gold Pack for Empire at War. Where do I access the Stream Library and “Star Wars: Empire at War Gold” in order to establish the game path?

The CIS had Dark Acolytes, which were dark side force-users trained by Dooku. I think that is what they are suppose to be.

The Invisible Hand is General Grievous' flagship; the Invincible is Admiral Trench's ship.

I totally agree that the way Trench's death was arranged was stupid. In that episode when Anakin shoots torpedoes at the Invincible the first time, Trench then fires his own torpedoes at Anakin's stealth ship which are intercepted by flares. When Trench did this the first time, he did not have to lower the shields. This says that the thermo-shields do not prevent solid objects from coming out. Therefore, there was no need to lower the shields when he fired again.

Is the tracking torpedo ability for the Invincible going to deactivate the ship's shields when used in the mod? I just find that to be a stupid requirement. If this side-affect is kept,how will the effectiveness of the ability balance out its negative side?

And Grievous gives Droid 2 a concussion.

I recall someone saying that in the mod the Malevolences ion cannon will not be strong enough to immbolize the Mandator. If that is the case then the Mandator wins.

Nevertheless, I am still cheering for the Malevolence because of my pro-Separatist affiliation.
