I think everyone needs to settle down for a bit. Game may not be finalized for release until Q3. Polishing a good game usually ends with it being bumped a few months beyond the intended release date. Moddb says Jul 2013, but last month said May 31st 2013 (obviously unofficial). Even though it's a bit far, I wouldn't be surprised to see it released on Halloween this year. Probably not though. My money is on Sept 13th. It is after all, on a Friday...

I've been having a problem installing this mod. I've followed the instructions on the readme, I've copied the files to steam/steamapps/sourcemods/bms I cannot however, access the xen levels. Does your mod appear as a different game in my steam library? If it does, I'm not finding it. Furthermore, after lambdacore, the game takes me straight to the credits instead of to (where I assume I would be) xen. Pls help!

Dear Developers of OP4 2. I'm not trying to be a source of grief here, but us fans have been incredibly patient. Try not to take my forthcoming statement harshly, as I, and hopefully all other fans will agree, have done absolutely nothing to do with the production of this mod aside from ******* and moaning. Again, that is not my intention, for what it's worth. If you read the post I left months ago, I had a blast playing the demo. But, it's been six months. Holy cow. I'm not the ******* that demands an update a week, I don't even check in every month, I didn't even check in last quarter since I have a healthy gaming life. But, again, jeez guys... Jun 28, 2012. Even if you're update is simple like, due to current economic conditions we have been stalled on the project, or because of Black Mesa Source, we have had to redesign NPCs such as the Bull Squid, Hound eye, and/or even the Grunts of the H.E.C.U., assuming a handful of Adrian Shepards buddies survive. I know I'm throwing a Hail-Mary here, but please... The greatest of your fans are not mindless, whining pricks. We are connoisseurs of gaming. We are eager to test our palettes with the new, the old, the revised, and the mods. We are not here to tear you down. The best of us serve as motivation for your purpose on the project. For heaven's sake, I'm well aware of the fact that not one of you developers will get a dime, but we're all rooting for ya mate. Throw us a bone here, not because we are sycophants, but because we are elemental in fueling the passion that energizes this project. With that, I will ask no more, but to please respond. Your greatest fans have more patience than you realize, please respect that. Thank you, and may fortune and favor find you in all of your endeavors.

One of my favorite aspects of the h1 anthology was the relationship between the intersecting story line i.e. The lambda core where shepard sees Gordon teleport, the tram area after the contaminated spill in welcome to black mesa, before the giant loading robot, and the Electric Dam. All since Shepard was following Gordon. I have to ask, will there be conflict between the mapping of Operation Black Mesa and Black Mesa Source?

Well, today I directed the Xenian/Combine Gladiator games; gunned down zombies, soldiers, and bullsquids with my shotty in the woods; and to top it off, sat on top of crossfire to watch a spectacular nuke blow me back into the ming dynasty. WHAT DID YOU DO TODAY.

Damn good demo, loved the old favorites, like houndeye and bullsquid. Great ominous forest environment. Crossfire's a little different, but the best parts are still intact, the two levels, and of course the bunker to launch the nuke. Keep it up guys, looks like you're all cooking up a spectacular job.

They got to be close to the finish line by now... Probably in the debugging/beta stages. I remember last april or may they were just getting started on the xen levels. Its been over 9 months now, surely the game should be ready soon. Can't wait, been doing so for a while though.

I had really high hopes for this mod, and I must confess that I'm still blown away at the level design and the cool videos and such, and even that my expectation for a release isn't entirely gone (due to a lack of informing the fan base), but I would at least appreciate if the person responsible for this forum would update their latest news thread, i mean come on, that was over six months ago!

Very excited about this mod, but I have one question. Will the displacer teleport gun be returning, and if it does, will it allow free travel to xen at anytime as in the first game? Either way, this is the best op4 2 mod yet.

Yeah...I really have high hopes for this mod. I haven't seen a single xen shot though, aside from that thumbnail, but after all, it is black mesa. What if they ended the game after lambda core? Nah, i wanna see someone do the impossible. Never seen a successful hl2 xen conversion. I even tried making one on gmod :P. either way, I hope the_ledge is right and we're reaching the end here. I still would feel a lot better if i saw a xen map shot.
