indeed, i note that there has been a strong resemblance between the tanks of the Gallian Army and those of Germany during world war II; in fact, the Edelwiess looks almost exactly like early models of the SdKfz Tiger Ausf B, AKA the Tiger II or King Tiger tank. also, the rebel tank in the opening FMVs of VC2 looks almost exactly like the Panzer III

i'll play the devil's advocate here and say that the choice to move the series to the PSP was hardly short sighted; rather, they [sega] managed to publish one of the better turn based strategy RPGs out there for the psp, short of Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions and the Disgaea revamps. the mistake made with VC2 was that it was too "japanese"; it relied too heavily on anime themes, and--frankly--i could see the ending coming from a mile away, as well as the identity of the man in the armor. what sega should have done. nevertheless, i do concede that the game should have been released for both the PS3 and PSP

i'm going to be shocked if it runs on anything less than a quad core 2.0 with 4 gigs ram and a 1 gig graphics card. i know my 2.2 dual core 4 gigs ram 512mb graphics card won't be able to run it.... dammit.

i've tried most versions of your mod, and i have to say that it's coming along well. a few pointers and things i've noticed, though:

1. the federation tank and mecha models need to be updated some; on the whole, they're somewhat indistinct, and have a certain lack of polish... if you could take the time to improve them in the next release, that would be awesome. if needed, i can provide reference pictures as requested. There's also the MAHQ website. i don't have Gundam models though, sorry.

2. that "some odd unit is dying every few seconds" sound gets annoying. please kill it.

3. if too many units are engaged on the map... usually about 30, the game crashes, citing lack of memory.

4. regarding units again, this time more specific:
--all rifle based mecha fire before torso has finished turning
--considering they're firing 100mm shells out of a scaled up submachinegun, the GM series do relatively little damage, and their accuracy is VERY poor
--Your Guncannon units have no splash damage (odd, considering they're firing 175mm artillery shells)
--Gundam beamrifles, and beam weapons in general do too little damage; each shot should do at least as much as the avatar's beam cannon
--the GP03 (the flying battleship)has aiming problems

if you would please take these items into consideration, that would be wonderful. i do, however, understand that you are only one person though.

very good mod, some comments, though:

most, if not all of the UNSC ships are untextured or unskinned

1. the combat frigate does not do anything, it mainly moves about 5 km from its target and then just sits there

2. the aestreus battlecruiser seems to be able to fire in any direction with all of its weapons, including its main Magnetic ACcelerator gun: i've seen it fire shots from its turrets when they're facing the wrong direction, and the MAC gun. or they fire off into space and STILL hit the target

3. from what i've seen of the games (beat them all) and the Halo legends DVD, most, if not all of the capital grade ships (Frigates and up) have some sort of point defense autocannons, yet these are all lacking except on the Marathon class cruiser, which STILL doesn't fire enough autocannon bullets (according to the DVD, it can produce a WALL of bullets around its centerline)
my tip: add VERY small turrets at specific locations on the frigates and capital ships

4. The covenant and UNSC ships are way too powerful... for a race that has PLASMA BOMBS and ION CANNONS (both energy weapons that, by description, should be on par with covenant weaponry), and has a mothership that is very resistant to both, the Higaraans' mothership can be torn apart by a single strike frigate.

i hope you will take my notes into consideration

well, firstly, its in the wrong section. you need Tiberium Wars not Tiberian Sun. Secondly, you need to update the skins. some of the vehicles (tanks, jeeps) look well done, but the mecha....well...

1) reskinning and retexturing
2) new animations
3) specialized voices; you can't leave the original unit voices like the original modder did for the original Xenoforce. That said, i loved playing the original xenoforce
