I have a better microphone for recording purposes but we were in the Skype call beforehand, and Justin decided to suddenly start recording in the middle of it so I didn't bother to switch out. The quality might also be dropping from connection problems between us and Skype.

Sorry for sounding like a ****, sometimes my worse half gets a grip over me and I do stupid ****. Nonetheless, I still find it odd how you see a reflection onto the overall project from this, but if you don't like the casts you really don't have to listen to them, their less attached to the project and more attached to the dev team.

So whatever maintains buoyancy in your naval vessel. Except that "Anyone who finds listening to that entertaining seriously needs to rethink what they're investing their time into," part, that's just a bit rude.

We're trying to make it mainly custom content, so you won't require anything besides the base.

Gets about "15, 20 minutes in".

Judges the entire 68 minutes based off that (as well as the condition of the mod, for some reason).

Alien Swarm is Source, and it is moddable, but not nearly as flexible as the 2007 engine (that most Source mods use). It'd take quite a bit of coding expertise.

A great showcase of level design, texturing work, and modelling. Bravo, guys.

We'll probably have some sort of signup on the forums or our website if we have one by then, but mind that the closed beta will not be given out to much of the general public at all, it'll mainly be trusted sources we feel should get it.

This is probably the best critique we've had so far. The sheer simplicity of it yet it's left me thinking of it long after I've left the page. It's a piece of one word beauty that I will never forget about.

The map won't be in the mod, it's a showing of the content Fulcrums created. Also :<

We'll actually have to code it ourselves I believe, so it's on our to do list somewhere down the line.

Judging by what we've got so far, you should be alright, but you may experience some FPS dips. Sorry bud :<

Farenhiet - - 21 comments @ Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Beta Key Contest

I sit here, juggling a toothpick with my tongue from one cheeck to the other. My tongue dances with the fashioned wood in a show of my common everyday anxiety. I'm thinking of how Valve is making a new game. How the Source engine is getting new material to show its potential. I keep asking myself "Why do I even need this key? I haven't even played CS: Source since that stupid Christmas event." Because I haven't played a Valve game I didn't like? This is true, but is it really a reason to write into a contest for a key? I can't deny my fond memories of CS: Source. I'm thinking of the first time I got a new PC. At that moment it was the most beautiful and fun game in the world. I mean, I sucked at it. I still do. But I wont reminisce on Counter Strike memories. Because I don't need to know how much I liked Counter Strike then or now. A shooter is coming out, a sequel to a series I know I've enjoyed. It's from one of my favorite developers Valve. It's on the game engine I plan on developing on that I continue to learn more about every day, Source. I really don't think now is the time to chew on a toothpick and wonder if I can get a beta key, or if I deserve one, or if I should let others take it, or whatever the hell. Because it's really more simple than that. It's the time for me to throw this toothpick away and write. So.
