No, and while those uniforms bother me and I might do something about it later, this mod only adds new factions and a new campaign so there is no crossing-over.

The weird hat thing is supposed to be a side cap, but we don't have the proper models so really it's the closest thing.

Yes you do. My apologies if you don't have it. Anyway, the vanilla campaign it comes with is excellent anyway and I think is still one of CA's best DLC's so it is worth buying.
