A note on the below post,

make sure you have -mod VaygrMod1.0.big at the end of all that.

I'm not so sure how to do this, but I gave this advice to someone else:

Forums.relicnews.com

I never learned whether it worked or not.

Tell me if it doesn't.

Thanks,
EhraniNavy

There are several ways you can do this, with programs such as MissionBoySE (no link sorry).

Check out the wiki: Wiki.hw2.info and see Mapping Related

Copy it, go to the right of the screen at the top where it says your name and click on PM, and then paste the file in the message box and send it to me.

Or send it through RelicNews.

In your Homeworld2 Shortcut add -luatrace to the target I gave you below, then PM me the file "C:\Program Files\Sierra\Homeworld2\bin\Release\hw2.log" and I will see how I can help you.\

Thanks,

The race.lua file should be in data:scripts/race.lua where data is the data folder from homeworld2.big (if you extract the big or dl a pre-decompiled big).

Sorry.

Put the file you downloaded (from the Downloads section) into your C:\Program Files\Sierra\Homeworld2\Data directory.

Then, on your desktop, Right Click "Homeworld2" and click "Create Shortcut". You can name this "Vaygr Tutorial Mod". Right click the new one, and click "Properties". In the "Target" box, scroll to the very end and add "-mod VaygrMod1.0.big". The whole "target" should be something like:

"C:\Program Files\Sierra\Homeworld2\bin\Release\Homeworld2.exe" -mod VaygrMod1.0.big

Hope that helps,
EhraniNavy
