Try to get a clear d2 game, install the mod and try again, bro. Mine runs well now after i setup my windows again. I got a lot of virus in my pc and it was really sick. Make sure you already intalled all c++ versions in your pc.

A trap! Yes, trap is a summoning skill just like valkyrie or golem, not a casting skill. So it won't receive any effects or buffs from your equipment. Example: mana each skill or ctc skill when kill, something like that. So when an enemy get killed by a trap, it means your monster, your pet kill it, not you kill it and you won't receive any mana from that act. I think that is Blizzard logic.

Stash bug when you click it. I know what it is and very simple to fix. It comes from PlugY stash mod and high-res plugin. Follow my steps to fix it if you using any PlugY version in a high-res mod.
*Open PlugY.ini and find 2 lines
1. ActiveCheckMemory=1, change 1 to 0 (this is not really necessary but if it causes error in your mod, just try).
2. (Important) Find this line: ActiveBigStash=1, change 1 to 0 and save the file. Done!
And second issue, you said you can't click in any merchants shop? Could you pls send me a pic about that? I've never seen that before, really don't know what it is.

What plugy version you are using?
Try this fix:
Open plugy.ini in the mod folder and find this line "ActiveBigStash=1" change it to 0 and try again.
