A Feature I really would like to add is the ability to work a job,
and get paid for your work as a guard,blacksmith or maybe even the ability to buy your own shop, but as for now I can't promise anything but I am looking into it.

I'll be reworking the main story questline it's one of the main things I wanted to do, I'm not going to change the actual story but I will be adding more options for the player to take, different ways to approach things and new ways to role play ofc.

if you use the tool to extract the game files and convert the player colors file to an xml you can easily edit the game's color's or anything its basically drag and drop to extract the files and convert them all can be done on the tool, player colors are matched with with the players slot if I remember correctly, luckily for most people .xml files are easy to read and understand compared to other coding languages so you could edit it with easily I could probably make a mod for every color and you could use the one you want if you like it's been awhile since I was modding this game but it's easy to mod so w/e

So i've been working on the 3rd map every so often and added quite a few new mechanics into the map.

For starters this map is a completely new map and terrain taking place right after the second map.

Secondly depending on the enemy the player is fighting, they will make sounds for there respective enemy type from Dead Space, Example say your fighting a slasher well every so often that slasher will let out a roar, from the sound files from dead space 1-3 the sound it plays is randomly selected from
a list of sound files, for each enemy type so a Lurker, has different sounds from a slasher and as such will play a different sound effect, Infectors have been given a sound effect for infecting a corpse so listen to the sound que
and if you hear it, that means an infector is infecting a corpse or human nearby!

I've also added a difficulty selection allowing for a wide range of effects on easy some enemies are removed on normal the map plays as it was designed on hard enemies have a chance to spawn with a buffing aura that will buff nearby slashers and on hard the Ubermorph is enabled and stalks the player through the map burrowing to your location every so often he cannot be killed!
On Nightmare enemies gain a damage and hp buff as well as the aura's and the ubermorph being enabled

Next I added 2 player support so you can play with a friend I suggest playing with a friend on hard+ difficulty since doing it solo is extremely hard.

I added animations for slashers after an infector converts a living target or a corpse the slasher will play an animation after it is created from a corpse I also added alternate animations for each slasher variant so trooper slashers will have different animations from a regular slasher.

Also Added a vent system you have a 1/5 chance (Subject to change) to be ambushed by a randomly selected group of necromorph's that will enter from the vent either behind or in front of you Suicider's are very dangerous if this gets triggered
as there damage has been buffed significantly.

I added a large amount of enemies I'll make a list going over them now

Cultist-Unitology soldier type unit that will be friendly to necromorphs and attack soldiers or players the necromorphs will still attack them however

Pregnant-A Slasher variant that when killed spawns swarmlings that can be dangerous if not killed

Lurker-A Slasher Variant with a rage ability and fast movement speed rage when enraged it gains additional attack speed and damage

Crawler-A Slasher Variant that can slow and poison characters making them vulnerable to attack from other necromorphs

TriPod-A large and Dangerous necromorph that can deal serious damage if not focused down

Guardian-This necromorph cannot move but attacks from a ranged place it cannot be killed so it's best to find a way around it

Enhanced Slasher-A stronger Variant of the slasher with stronger attacks and more health

Enhanced infector-A Stronger Variant of the infector that can create Enhanced slashers from corpses or living humans

Most enemies have much higher hp and damage output then in the first two maps to compensate for two players although playing on normal/hard is what I suggest if your playing solo nightmare is insanely hard for 1 person

I also added a tram system similar to dead space 1/2 waves of necromorphs will attack the train and you will have to defend it!

I'm currently open to having some players test the map if anyone is interested send me a message the map is about 60% done

I'll work on the lighting for the 3rd map, I'll probably re-release the first two maps with the enemies found in the 3rd, as well as the new mechanics like enemies having sounds and slashers having an animation after being created from an infector and I'll fix the lighting to be a bit brighter.

So i'm working on the second map and i've added live infection to the infector it can still resurrect dead bodies but now guards can be infected while alive I also added an animation for the infector when it infects bodies and live targets.

I've started working on a sequel to this map that will take off where this one left off i'm designing it a lot better been working on it the past 5 hours and have recorded dialogue for some of the encounters.

it does because there is not enough slots on buildings to add new units if Don't do it this way then it would be impossible to add anything new without replacing other squads its mostly upgrades but most of them are useless since I buffed all squad sizes and made ODST trainable I can make new squads and buildings but I still have to replace something I can't add slots there is a limit.

The AI trains the new units tho they even train the flood ones it just takes them awhile because of the way anders ai is setup.

I have not added descriptions to the squads yet but it doesn't matter at all there stats are different.

factions are red because I like the color red simple as that.

Yes,

the only AI that seems to have trouble is the flood ai but it does train units mostly flood brutes or jackals the UNSC works fine and even trains the custom units I made. Not sure if the Cov will train the custom units or not I need to test it more.

There is a readme you have to go the your game directory and backup your exe and root.era then replace them with the ones in the mod you only need the latest version and the modded .exe
