yes, Garrick was given permission to work on them and develop them for dow2 in our engine with some changes to textures. Definitely nicer looking than many the older models.

We also plan on updating these models further as part of our next release.

the real fix is in 2.9.11 being uploaded very soon, sorry for the trouble. tested it myself and it worked quite well

the method is the same as before, you can find the batch file in Elite>Config, after following the readme. for all other help find us at our discord

This patch is now updated, overall changes are now viewable in the April 2nd release article and in the download in files.

This mod does not affect last stand and now actually crashes with it, so we've removed it from the interface. We've just updated the mod so this version is no long available.

Forgotten Emerald is one of the more active Last Stand mods, they have a moddb page and a discord server, I recommend heading over there to find more last stand players!

we also share/work on things for them, and yes we have been given permission to use models they've used!

Can't say yet which faction it will be but we also will be developing more visual assets for whatever we release, and sharing those with others who want to use them if they contact us and get permission directly.

fixing no range errors isn't too hard if people have time to look at your folder and see what's up

maybe at some point! for now the other mods are the best place to enjoy those!

the old installer doesn't work, as it now runs on a injector. the new shortcut has a shield in it to distringuish

failed to start dow2 can also mean an incorrect install path, this is the most common install issue and is easily solved over at our discord.

So far I don't think it works with the GOG version, but that might change eventually.

Massive Battles game mode (it's in the multiplayer game options) enables increased popcap. We'll then be adding in the generator targeting fix for AI players.

The links on other websites were removed as those members are no longer on our team, which was the condition for them using their own pages. In general we want to condense as many features as possible into the main patch so it is easy to use, and to keep everyone on the same builds for compatability.

And our goal is to keep most of our official downloads in one place too so we can communicate with the playerbase more easily.

We'll be updating the title, this mod does indeed have some non-multiplayer content, it can be selected in the Campaign menu under Imperial Guard. It is a survival mission with leveling created by Noot, and is not fully finished but is playable. You can gain levels, save, play co-op, and choose between several different maps/environments.

The only thing to look out for is that you do not want to try and open a save file from this survival mode (which will be saved as an IG campaign save file) while loading the regular non-modded game, as that will mess it up.

I think these model changes are linked to leveling up the faction, but I plan to add in a skin that basically includes the higher level basic armor. There are some mod addons which change default models into the leveled up versions, I'm pretty confident that is what you're seeing.

Without levels, the basic warboss model is much simpler looking, whereas the unique models in the skins are always separate from levels, while some unchanged assets might still be level-related (like tanks, it depends on the skin).

I try to make most of my new skins (Goffs are the only Ork skin I've done) not change with levels so that people can always have the same gear regardless of levels. As the game is quite old, level progression can be a bit of a chore to get cosmetics.

Addons can be a nice solution to things that don't exist in game, but our goal is to make most things accessible without additional downloads.

If you haven't asked for help on our discord, this is an easy thing to fix, it relates to the tooltips files. Also in more recent years, most mods are not going to have conflicting tooltips, which was the source of these errors most often. Otherwise, Elite mod's tooltips only work for the English language as of yet, although some communities on discord have made their own translations which we plan to host here.

hi, the general changes to elite are based on the multiplayer stats, so the code is completely separate from the campaign. We do have a survival mode built into the IG slot in the campaign, and there are some new and upcoming campaign mods on the horizon both for dow2 retribution and for the campaigns before that (chaos rising and original).

Dawn of War Redemption is one of the campaign mods im keeping an eye out for. It aims to rebalance the original dow2 campaign, while adding more enemies and immersive aspects, named after the creator of the mod (Redemption).

Our mod will have a mixture of PVE elements added on, besides the Survival Mode which is already PVE but isn't finished entirely (but is playable in single player or with one other person).

Our goal is to add new factions one at a time, though we're still figuring out how we want to approach it. We have some ideas that we like for at least one new race candidate, but are taking our time with it while working on other stuff. Next patch will be relatively large but still won't have a brand new race just yet.

Tau are not confirmed as our next new race but they are one of the contenders for it. We like the idea of adding a xenos faction before we add another Imperial one.

I'm not sure but if you visit our discord we can ask the people there. If it does work you might need a bit of help with our installer, as the installer by default searches for the steam location of the game.

You can always suggest new units over in our discord server.

We tend to spend a lot of time deciding on new unit adds, but we appreciate hearing about what people want to see.

hey we have plans to make an Emperor's Children skin currently, I agree it is lacking compared to all the other legions. We're also updating skins here and there periodically.

Long term it would be nice to have a Slaanesh hero for chaos but we'll see how long that takes given some of our other projects in the works!

hi, short answer yes. Elite Mod plays very much like regular Dow2 Retribution multiplayer, you build units from a central base building, while capping points around the map. Upgrading your base gives you access to more powerful units.

If you visit our discord server, you can more easily find other new players and we can try to see if your laptop can run it.

Many of our players use old laptops and low settings so there's a good chance it can still work. The game itself is pretty old, even though it looks quite nice for its age.

make sure the language is set to English as the ucs/tooltip file for elite is there.

Elite Mod's old server was recently hacked and deleted, please leave the old server and rejoin the new one!

We have some ideas about what happened and we know which team member was targeted specifically. Luckily all of our art and game related assets were completely unnaffected and exist in different servers entirely.

Once we have more information we may share it here, though for now we are keeping our analysis within the dev team only. Our primary goal is to prevent this from happening again.

While I don't work on the ai stuff myself, some of the modders working with ai seem to have made some progress and are collaborating a lot, sharing older knowledge too. Maybe in a few months we'll see some larger changes that can be added to the main Elite download.

The most common install problem that occurs with elite mod is being installed on the wrong drive on your computer if you have multiple drives. The installers address just needs to be changed most likely.

Once elite mod is in the same drive it should work. If you still can't get it working we can also help further over at our discord under #technical-discussion.

The installer replaces the older mod files from elite. And as others said already you can load the regular dow2 retribution through steam.

If you have other issues installing feel free to ask on the discord server. Most of the install issues we see not too hard to fix.

We have many people on the team interested in adding new races in the future.

There is a popcap mod and an ai mod (both usable separate or together) that Yellowmonkey has hosted that we can also add here eventually.

We have several modders (myself not included) who are interested in AI and are working to improve it.

Otherwise pvp is always available too.

some of these kinds of things are getting patched up as of recent.
