yeah i know what you mean, i have tried disabling both but they still seem to self shadow a lot. i'll fix it someday, maybe with a selfillum or detail texture.

The mod won't be compatible with Mmod since I have no knowledge on how this works but it seems that there's an Mmod compatibility patch for most HL2 mods, so if somebody makes one then yes. Sorry for such a late response.
