I am tying to load my character from a median xl version; I get a handle exception error, are we suppose to start a brand new game? Is it possible to load characters from median xl?

I love the warthog but its missing 2 things that can improve it

A lot of the time the warthog does an attack run, unloads its pay load still having a few rockets, sometimes none at all then it flies around targeting other units with its gun leaving the warthog open to being attacked usually getting shot down, especially if it locks on to a heavy tank shooting at it with its gun
For the air gen, there is no Attack move patrol a location point
command. Using guard as a substitute command can be done with the king raptor with its large guard area, You can’t do that with the warthog with its small guard area, Setting guard with the warthog’s guard location command near the entrance of an enemy base the enemy units usually pass through the guard area on their way to your base and shoot down the warthog while it is making its return attack run, the warthog is targeting enemy units that are in the guard area on its return attack run.

Sorry for the late response I checked back about a week ago real quick and did not see a reply above my post. I forgot that the reply to posts is inside the original post.
I am using a windows home vista home premium operating system
I re-installed a different c&c with zero hour i got from a friend, I did a clean install of generals with the update patch 1.08, the previous installation I had I think it was 1.07 but I am not sure, installed zero hour, updated the patch to 1.04 then added remix mod using the instructions provided and it didn’t work

2v2 in skirmish, 100000cash, tournament mode off
I was playing with nuclear gen, allied to insane tank gen /vs\ insane robot gen allied to insane tank gen. On map hostile dawn, /2 on the bottom left/me/ \2 on the top right\comp\ I build no defense structures because offence is the best defense
I have a virtual machine and access to all operating systems but I have not upgraded yet because i did not want to get familiar with another operating system and the if it ain’t broke don’t fix it mentality, what is the best operating system to run this mod in?

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!ANYONE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

when playing 2v2 with nuke general om skirmish with 3 insane ai, 1 robot gen and 2 tank gen.

when i build the SU 47 interceptor in the beginning and put them on guard to protect my alli and myself against the masses of drones against robot gen early air drop and drone swarm ambush my game crashes by the time i built the tech center sometimes a little later

i can still play through a match if i do not build the SU 47 but it is hard to defend against the mass of drones because i am on a low end pc and if i build too much or spawn to many units my game crashes
but if i build low number of units that are strong i can win the match and the game doesn't crash and thats when i play with any of the generals

my pc was able to run the last version of remix ok but the better newer version crashes if i don't pay attention to how much im building and units im spawning.

any advice on what i should do would be great, i already reinstalled C&C and i have virtual machines so i can install any os if that will help, i tried running remix with different settings in compatibility mode and with the admin level, i have all my settings set to performance in nividia and i have all graphics turned off or in low in options menu, i am running c&c with a no cd crack

thanks for the help this is my favorite mod so i will make the effort and put in the time to make it work on my pc or my laptop

since im here i must ask if something could be done with the warthog in the airforce gen, its useless even in mass numbers they don't stand a chance against an insane robot gen and tank gen they are not worth 1600 price thanks again for any help

This remix escalation mod is the only reason why i still have c&c installed, i am looking forward into giving this mod a thorough test run especially testing air superiority for all the generals

Great mod I love the airforce but don't forget to add a recycle button and airplane icon on the right of the screen like in contra in your next release. The escalation times takes FOREVER!!!!!! 30 minutes to 1 hour just to get to the best planes :( by that time you get the best units the battle is already over instead of them making a difference and changing the tide, keep up the good work love this mod.
