It's a known issue, we haven't been able to properly test and fix it though.

Yes, one more major content update and then bugfixes after that before going to CK3.

We have one dev diary currently out: Forum.paradoxplaza.com

There's some other features that we're not quite ready to show yet.

Accurately guessing a release date for a mod is kind of a fool's errand, but somewhere around 1-2 months seems a safe bet.

No problem, that's what I thought might be it.

What's your checksum with the mod loaded?

What version are you on (both the mod and CK2) and what's your checksum? The save you uploaded runs fine for me.

It's an intermediate step towards forming Mercia and gives some
claims and event troops to help with that, as well as somewhat easier creation requirements for creating Mercia itself.

Yes? We usually do have a few months between content patches though as our team is very small, and we don't usually release bugfixing patches unless there's a critical bug or the list of fixes has simply become long enough.

Certainly we're watching to see how CK3 turns out, but we can't say whether or not we'll move onto that until it's actually released we can take a closer look at it.

1) Those are wasteland regions intended to hinder troop movement and access, representing the dense forests of the Weald and the marshes of the Fens.

2) It's in our long term plans, but as you can probably tell by now development does not move particularly quickly with this mod.

You need to have destroyed the Frankish County of Tungran/Tongres first to create Tungria.

If you're interested in contributing to the mod we'd love to have you and see what you could do. Do you have a Steam or Paradox Forums account we could connect to you with?

Oh I see, you used the "Restore the Pontificate Maxima" decision after you reformed to Hierocratic? That makes a lot of sense, I completely forgot about the existence of that decision. Obviously it should be blocked or at least heavily retooled if you didn't take Temporal Leadership. I'm still confused about how the Pontifex Maximus title got destroyed in the first place, that shouldn't be possible. Unless you have a save from before it was destroyed it probably wouldn't be all that helpful for that problem, though I'd definitely still be interested in a save where there's Heir Designation weirdness.

Could you clarify what "defaulting to landless" means exactly? Do you mean your government type is defaulting to landless somehow? I strongly suspect that this issue, as well as the Kingdom-granting issue, is related to you for some reason getting your religious head title.

What exactly were the options with which you reformed the religion? Reforming with Hierocratic works for me, the Pontifex Maximus is just fine being landless. Do you have a save from just before you reformed?

Yes, the Caesar title uses the Born in the Purple mechanic as a pseudo-heir designation before Imperial Elective was introduced. As it's now been superseded it might be best to take that part out if it's conflicting with heir designation and/or Imperial Elective. Do you happen to have a save where some of that weirdness occurs?

Unfortunately our focus is not really on cultural or religious flavour at the moment (and particularly not for offmap cultures), as we don't really have any devs that are good with or interested in this. Same goes for art, which we are particularly short on.

Thanks. That's not a bug, the Imperial Conquest cb only unlocks once you've fully restored the Empire (i.e. fully reconquered Gaul and triggered the event). As far as I remember the cb has always worked this way.

I'm not quite sure what you mean, the Imperial Conquest cb is still there and works fine as far as I can tell. Could you clarify your problem, perhaps with a screenshot and/or save?

WAD, those are wasteland regions representing largely impenetrable forests and marshes, respectively.

The Norse invasions can start earlier if there's a strong kingdom in Britannia, more as a challenge to make the game more interesting to the player than anything else.

The York invasion you're seeing isn't actually the Great Heathen Army, it's a smaller prelude along the lines of the other raiders/invasions. The main event doesn't come along until much later.

Too early to say what exactly the next update will focus on. If you want to keep up, we post dev diaries on our Paradox Forums thread once we have something to show.

Yeah, if you don't have that DLC just leave the Portrait module disabled.

Hmm, that's an interesting idea. I suppose we could look into it.

In any case the Praetorian Prefect of Gaul not having any duchy-level cbs is really an oversight, if nothing else that will definitely get changed.

Are you playing as a vassal or an independent ruler? If you're independent you should see lots of cbs for subjugating and vassalizing other rulers, as well as the expensive county conquest cbs at the bottom. If you're a vassal you're not really meant to be able to conquer other vassals - the intention is that you either declare independence or claim your liege's titles.

Who are you playing as (culture and government)? The cbs that are available vary widely depending on who you're playing.

As far as I know the only way to get the Hellenophone trait currently is event romeflavorevent.45030, which can randomly trigger for older children/younger teenagers with at least 10 learning, the kind trait, or one of the positive genetic intelligence traits.

The main purpose of Praetorian Praefecture of Gaul is to represent Ostrogothic control over Provence, so IIRC they do not get the Imperial Reconquest CBs that Soissons does, they only have access to the county conquest cb normally. As the Prefect you won't be able to create new legions (only Emperors can, even Soissons can only maintain the legion they start with and the one they can get through event), but you will be able to get most of the Roman de jure reconquest events, restore the Senate, and recreate the Gallic Empire. However, this Roman-like behaviour is activated ingame by the End of the Gothic War event (302804), so you you'll probably want to trigger that event manually before you start your playthrough.

"Anglo-Saxon provinces" refers to any province in the Britannia region whose top liege is an Ingvaeonic (Jutish, Angle, (Old) Saxon, (Old) Frisian, Anglo-Saxon) culture. The tooltip doesn't update immediately and you may have to wait a few days if you've just conquered someone or something like that. If things still seem off post a save and we can take a closer look.
