in my game there is no corsshair anymore on any mode with the rcm mod only. is there a fix for that?

After i installed the files for 1.6 and read the readme, it said to edit something in the XXXr_con.lua. where can i find that folder? what happens if i dont edit that folder? because i think thats the reason why my screen goes all black 20 seconds into every instant action game.
