I guess the only thing limiting me here is the game's AI, which i haven't really experimented with. I could definitely try something like this as I do know of the chase sequence you mentioned.

The Lantern and other light sources eliminate most of the fog, so you'll be able to see better.
My fault, i should have put a Lantern in the Demo :/
I shall. It's in a good place at the moment, buildwise. So any suggestions at all are going to be taken into account.
Thanks, and i should be adding some stuff to this page soon.
I could always add new Sound, Music, Level screens, etc to this. Development is still taking place.
It's lost it's momentum a bit. Mainly due to Procrastination, my inability to do stuff, technical problems. Not really dead, just in some kind of Custom-Story Coma.
I'm just kind of awful at things, really :c
I kind of attempted to keep the feel of a 7 year old Castle, some distance away from civilization with no proper maintenance, that's mainly why i use a fair bit of Fog and Particle effects.
I don't use any Boxlights in the story, they don't look very natural in my opinion. Though it could be the PointLight areas being a bit too large, i wanted to give a fairly realistic level of lighting. In a room with a large window, the whole room would be filled with light, if that makes any sense.
Should be a bit better now. Thanks
Yeah, they're kind of pointless i will admit. The credits give you the total rods in the game (10) but they don't really serve much of a purpose other than a "do it for the hell of it" kind of thing.
Well, in the room adjacent to the Cogwheel there's a small wooden panel on a Metal Machinery box. And in the room to the right upon entering the Machine Room there's a table to the far right corner with a Crowbar on it, and a room with some acid inside.
Weaken the panel with the acid and then use the Crowbar, the Panel should come off and the Cogwheel should fall out of it's Axis, dropping the key.
Well if you're asking about the purpose of them, there isn't one really. They're just in there as a sort of Minigame
