To be fair, they probably get a lot of help from Valve employees, that and they got taught directly how to use basic hammer, Cube maps, texture alignment and such are pretty basic beginner things to learn, and considering all most of them built was a room, they probably spent most of their time learning that stuff instead of making g r a n d l e v e l s. it also really depends on how long they were there for too.

love the reimaging of half life 2, looks spectacular.

but I don't think fakefactory understands that half life 2 update, wasn't a reimaging or anything of the sort, it was mainly made to improve lighting and shadows, not to completely revamp the environment. so I don't really see the point of comparing the 2 very different mods with each other. feels very smug.

great mod though.

hey guys! i got something for mappers looking too join a mod team on here.

the mod itself is called "riptide" and is set in a new story and universe, and right now is in an early alpha stage. we're 4 devs strong and looking for mappers with experience with the half life 2 ep2 version of hammer, at least a year or so of experience with it.
