Because there's no Japanese version of WaW.

1. I know how to change the subtitles, but I haven't found a way of compiling the mod in a way where they would work. Basically the mod is too big for the game after doing so.

2. No, I would have to change the whole model. I don't think that's possible in WaW.

You literally enable the 'APEE 1.4 YT Addon' from the 'Mods' tab in the game, the same way you would enable the regular mod. I don't think it's that hard. Please stop asking this question.

No, only if you enable the addon, the regular mod uses a historical German flag from that era.

It is possible to blow off limbs of most common enemies in this mod (by that I mean the basic USMC Marines, Dress Blues Marines, Red Army soldiers and NKVD soldiers). Some special enemies like USMC NCOs or Soviet officers do not have this feature, simply because Treyarch did not put it in the game. I do not know why you could not do it, maybe you somehow enabled censorship in options of your game?

I've played some missions two days ago and I've seen plenty of StG.44s, so I don't know why you didn't see any. There's no DP for now because I didn't find a good place for it in my mod, it might return in the future, but I prefer the players to use German weapons anyway. And yes, you're given a Colt because Capt. Teraoka takes it from the body of an enemy NCO (Sgt. Sullivan). That's what happened in the original game when you got the Nambu, it was a pistol taken from a dead Japanese officer interrogating you.

Thank you. And all weapons you've listed except for the DP are available in this mod, so I don't quite understand what do you mean.

Yeah, ModDB does that even if I only edit some descriptions (that's what I did). Don't worry, whenever a new version would appear you would see that (the file name would change, as well as the mod version).

Yeah, there's less variety of German soldiers in Stalingrad, I had some performance issues due to model quantity, plus I really don't like this mission. And there's a lot of various German soldiers in Berlin since many units fought there, there's only Heer soldiers in Stalingrad. I might change that in version 1.5, we'll see.

These US names are unchangeable at the moment since they are assigned to a mission, not to the names file.

Sadly, there is no Japanese version of WaW.

And I have checked the whole 'Heart of the Reich' mission, I have played it again and did not see any glitches, so I do not know why you encountered some.

Thank you for your feedback. To answer your questions:

1. That is a problem I could not fix, some voice lines just did not want to switch to German and they were always in English (the same thing happened when I was doing some testing in the Japanese campaign). I do not know how to fix it right now.

2. That is intended, I want people to use the German weapons, not the Russian ones, so the Russian weapons have less ammo (and the German ones have a lot of it).

3. Could you provide more info on these bugs in 'Heart of the Reich'? I have played this mission myself today and nothing like that ever happened. Did this happen every time when you were playing that mission? Or maybe just once? Could you describe the glitches you have seen?

I do not make changelogs, really, but here are some things that are new:
- better names for main characters (for example 'Lieutenant Meier' instead of 'Lt. Meier') to make them stand out
- more weapons for friends and foes in various missions (with working sounds, big thanks to GICombat for his tips)
- new, more realistic Japanese names for main characters and randomly generated soldiers (and there's more of them than in the previous version)
- Americans and Russians now use grenades made by their countries (Mk 2 and RGD-33)
- friendly and enemy soldiers now have new textures (they are still not perfect, but are definitely better than the ones used previously)
- some enemies are now NCOs (Americans) or officers (Russians), one new Russian model has been used (for random enemy soldiers, it is the guy wearing jackboots)
- enemies in 'Breaking Point' and 'Downfall' (called 'Rebirth' in the mod) have some new accessories like headbands, sunglasses (Americans) or bandages (Russians)
- a lot of textures were changed or edited, not only the character textures (please play the mod and see that for yourself)
- main menu text and pictures are now working (again, big thanks to GICombat for his help)
- new sounds, for example dialogues in the German campaign (not perfect, but better than nothing), American 'Banzai' chargers, some music
- new flags in various places
- the ending of the game on top of the Reichstag is much better now (please, check that out)
Please, play the new version and see all the changes for yourself! :D There will be a version 1.5 some day I think, I am still not fully satisfied with how this mod looks right now.

You need to download mod tools for WaW, then find a file called '_introscreen.gsc' (it's located in Raw/Maps) - you can edit the starting text there. In case of 'Vendetta' and 'Heart of the Reich' you would need to edit different files ('sniper.gsc' and 'ber3_event_intro.gsc'). After that you add the edited files to your mod.

Version 1.4 will contain better uniforms for all factions. If I ever make version 1.5 I will further update them.

Adding 'please' would be nice, otherwise this just sounds rude. I am in contact with the creators of the 'Fall of Berlin' series and they let me use some of their textures, so when they will release a new version I will ask them again - if they agree I could create an addon with the skins from their mods.

That's some great looking Luftwaffe!

By the way, a small modding tip unrelated to the textures: Gefreiter with Kar98k has MP 40 pouches, but it is actually possible to create xmodelalias files (.gsc files) that would be responsible for the equipment (I've managed to do that in my mod) - because of that you can provide the soldiers, allied or enemy, with correct ammo pouches :D

Install this:

7-zip.org

Afterwards unpack the file just like you would unpack a .rar file.

Okay :D The new version should be out soon.

Oh, and one more thing, the Pacific theater might be more challenging in the new version - there will be a greater weapon variety on the American side (Springfields, Garands, Thompsons, BARs and M1919s will all be present). These weapons might not seem as formidable as PPSh-41s, but maybe Marines wielding BARs and M1919s will prove to be a tougher nut to crack :D

This mod supports all four zombie maps made by Treyarch; zombie mode will have an Easter egg in version 1.4 (my friend came up with that idea), we will be playing as a German zombie (but with guns) against regular Russians and Americans (acting like zombies) - that way this mod will truly change all sides, including the zombies :D

And I have made a simple YouTube addon for this mod, I will post a picture soon - please tell me if changing the flags into censored ones is good enough, there are still Third Reich symbols on German uniforms but I do not know how visible they would be on YouTube (these symbols are quite small, no armbands or anything).
