Unfortunately the HUD is not ours (it is from UIExtensions as far as I know) and we do not have any UI programmer anymore to change much in terms of UI. Also isn't one of the player's bars down there - the mana bar afaik?

Not all locations do need markers ;-) Actually there is a bunch of very powerful bosses scattered throughout Enderal and most of them in lone buildings without any markers - so that you actually need to search for them (and not just check your compass) :-)

Well, once the SKSE is "fully" released, as well as SkyUI properly ported we'll look into it - but don't get your hopes up too much; we do not have enough members to make patches for both versions, so it would need to be a full transition to the SSE. As such it is not an easy decision to make, regardless of whether we CAN actually port it or not.

Most likely, yes. Currently apart from having far too much work with the DLC we also still lack SKSE in SSE for a possible port.

Though the chances are very slim, even after SKSE for SSE releases
(announced to be around March)

"If I was the cynical type I would say it looks like they left a ton of slop in the maps in order to justify their ongoing "update" fixes."

Now if you would look into the changelogs (available at both the forum and our wiki) you would be able see that all patches since EV release were just launcher and translation fixes.

No little "update" fixes as you call it :-)

The cool thing is, we have changelogs just so that people do not come to the conclusion you did - but I guess with a tinfoil hat on their head people do not look for the obvious explanation but instead try to find some obscure ones.

Would you be so kind and report that in our Bugtracker @ Sureai.net:9898

Simply click on Create to post a new ticket. Also it would be nice if you could also upload screenshots of both your Data and your Skyrim folder for the ticket.

As chazn21339695561 said, they technically did not steal anything. Everything build with the Creation Kit belongs to Bethesda per EULA of the CK and before it of the CS.

It is just that nobody paid any heed to those:

"You automatically grant to Bethesda Softworks the irrevocable, perpetual, royalty free, sublicensable right and license under all applicable copyrights and intellectual property rights laws to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, perform, display, distribute and otherwise exploit and/or dispose of the New Materials (or any part of the New Materials) in any way Bethesda Softworks, or its respective designee(s), sees fit."

Btw I dislike Bethesda as much as you do, it is just that this was in place since the release of Morrowind's CS - and nobody cared, at all.

That's weird. One tweak does indeed lower the FPS, but usually not to that amount. If you don't have many CTDs with One Tweak off I would recommend you to play Enderal without it.

There are mods which deal with most ratio problems, these should work with Enderal as well ;-) (Almost all of those are Skyrim native and have nothing to do with Enderal)

"and is there a possibility to prevent the fps loss when playing in bordless windows?
With "onetweak" I have ten fps less than without."

How many FPS do you have?

Good question. :-)

We want to but it depends on how much "free" time we have to make one before we want to release it - after all nobody would want a release delay just to make a trailer, or ? ;-)

Well then I recommend you the "Iron Path" as difficulty setting :P

That difficulty sometimes even seems to be outright unfair. Don't worry you have the tools to fight (even without relying on glitches), but one wrong move basically kills you.

"Nehrim had an installer without steam"

That was because Oblivion was released without Steam and only later was added on Steam.

Skyrim was exclusively on Steam - so Enderal HAS to use Steam if it wants to stay 100% legal.

But yeah it will nevertheless come with its own installer - it is just that you need Steam to play, just like you need Steam to play Skyrim.

If it would be made for Enderal, yes ;-)

Skyrim's custom race mods have certain problems in Enderal, e. g. Skyrim's perk system which is deactivated. Also your choice of race influences certain dialogues (nothing too major, but I'm not sure how custom races would interact with those).

You do realize that Enderal is a german mod, don't you? ;-) The english version will at most release at the same time as the german one so between 1st and 3rd of July :-)

As for the installation - yeah you won't need to reinstall Skyrim, Enderal's launcher packs all Skyrim files in a seperate folder (minus the .bsa files, as Enderal needs those).

Texture Replacers, though pls carefully test the limit before you just copy over any textures from Skyrim as Enderal is rather close to the 3,5 GB RAM limit.
Also some script based mods, but there you need to test which.

In general all mods which do not need the skyrim.esm - as using those can get you into real trouble in Enderal as those mods often take refs from Skyri's skyrim.esm which are not used or even used differently in Enderal.

Caleb8980 - - 64 comments @ Release date for Enderal's german version

There will be such a version as well, but the TBA concernes that one, too. The TBA btw is no doom saying for a simul-release of all 3 versions (or at least 2 of them) - just that we can't promise anything at this stage of the translation and/or synchronisation.

Hmm, a hard to answer question: right now I can't say more than that we are trying to do that. There is just the problem that the release date of the german version still isn't decided yet (as I said it is hopefully before the deadline); also currently most of the translators are working on the books and only 2 are working on the strings (substitles, UI, etc.). Hence it is impossible to plan for that right now ;-)

Enderal will be released this year and yes also before christmas - there is an internal deadline we HAVE to meet because of personal reasons. We actually want to release it sooner than that date so there is enough room for patches and we are currently on a good way but it is simply to soon to announce a release month/date right now - there are new bugs everyday and they are not always easy to fix ;-)

Caleb8980 - - 64 comments @ Enderal

Yeah the german version will most likely be released earlier - the cutting of the voice acting even for the german version isn't yet finished - on the other hand the English synchro has only now started for real and SureAI won't hold back the german version.

The second point is something I hope we can manage but that is mainly dependened on how long it will take to translate all the books and the string files - the 2nd point is my area but it is hard to make any estimations. :-)

Who said that the Butcher of Ark (which is still missing 1 chapter btw) is the only book by Nicolas (yes Nicolas is the author of the Butcher of Ark and also the guy in the first devblog ;-)) - he wrote multiple books for Enderal, the Butcher is just the longest one.
He is part of SureAI and helps with Quests, Skripting and also world building, if my memory serves me right, and is also responsible for the PR ;-)
I just took over this site here from him, as he just didn't have any time after the bugfixing started.

EDIT: what I forgot, he is also responsible for parts of the translation, though I and the editor of SureAI took that from his shoulders.

No you won't as Enderal has an Intro-Cutszene which explains most of what happened in Nehrim - you might miss some references but that is the most that can happen.

No there aren't, reason being that the riding system is so bugged in TES games - fixing it would take much time which they rather spend on more meaningful activities.

In the same vein lies the answer to your question - too much work for a feature the player rarely use anyways and is also rather useless. ;-)

They are so dark because nights in Enderal are darker than in Skyrim, so that torches actually serve a purpose ;-)

It is the same as Skyrim's. Which mod does that? Afaik I only know mods where the unused cape slot gets replaced - unfortunately it is used rather often in Enderal so that would be impossible.

No, the Creation Engine Bethesda uses in Skyrim is made/optimized for sword fighting and using guns in there is almost impossible.

When you are hiding in the shadows you will be much harder to detect, in turn while standing in the light you will be visible through "half the dungeon" :P
You are also able to extinguish torches and in many dungeons you will have alternative routes so that you can actually sneak around and fall into the back of your enemies ;-) (Or at least have a good position for shooting an arrow there)
