yes guys, this mod is REALLY dead. I haven't had any motivation left since 2 years. Because there a s few small things that need fixing. I'm not able to do it.

But really good things never get old, you know?

So if YOU DO have some experience in SCRIPTING and willing to help me out, you could be the last hope to ressurect this mod.

Since the 1.0 release (which was actually more like 0.8 unfinished) there has been so much stuff added I put a whole lot of work into it and I was never, ever able to get it out in public.
Thats not to be too happy about it.

If you are a scripter and tired of half-*** commercial modern-crap, you might be able to get another release finally. Mapping-skills would also be welcomed.

I cannot play this on Windows XP?

Can you make a limited version that works on DX9?
I haven't really figured out what's it all about but seems to visually and gameplay enhance MP2 which is great and unique. Because I wan't to enjoy the original game- enhanced, not some custom episode.

No I will not port the SSHD models: First most likely is not legal !
Second It toke me too long creating them.

Actually I have done a working Netricsa Clone, called MIRANDA - unpersonal heavyweight UPC. It shows weapon models and 10 different enemies and level-stats. However the pages have to be done yet... about 70. And I dont know how to unlock pages for killed enemies and owned weapons, so it's just fully accessible all the time.

Please make sure to select your Serious Sam 2 Installation-Path, then ADD </Classic SeriousSam2> as additional Folder. As says in setup

I just can't stand it if anybody is hearing "what I'm doing", currently where I live, it's like paper-thin walls, and you can even hear your neighbours taking a crap... Hello, nice mod.

Nice models, I have some ugly problems:

playing 16-bit: everything looks fine, but every model animation plays extremely fast !
(running makes my sword appear like 4, its really fast)

using software 8-bit: animations are fine, but all colors/textures are totally mixed up.

I also have blocky black pixels in FMV's...

Who can help ?

the Engine is very nice are there moders around ?
because i got Plans and ideas for a little Myst game, with 3 possible strange endings :x maybe URU could deliver a good Engine if its accessible to edit

also i liked to create a mod for Myst V - End of Ages. It was pretty bad, but good Engine ! With a little tuning you could probably make it much better. For sure ! ..just changing a few Models here and there, ambience and make it a bit darker. Well the Planet Map was too dark !

. turn of UAC on Vista (User Access Control)

. when installing the mod, be sure to select your Serious Sam 2 path and add a last folder called 'Classic SeriousSam2'
Default: C:\Program Files\Serious Sam 2\Classic SeriousSam2

. you can manually correct this, just be sure the path matches and all Mod Files are untouched..

. you must have full access privileges to start the launcher.

My ISP 'Swiss Cablecom' got the worst Customer Service Ever.
They are offering the best Offer, but they are also famous for their awful
Customer-Support.

Now, we have survived this Adventure and finally came out sucessfull.
I'am back online and can feed my Mod with news. There is not less to present :)

Well i can say that Serious Sam II has horrible Online Programming. Serious Sam 1 was playable even with a old-style Modem. Thats was something special about it and many People playing online.

Your 8800GTS is slightly better than mine i would say.
(Well its pretty sure.. but anyway)

I played Crysis.. it was playable, but - reloading and freezing all the time. I bought 1 GB more RAM and now i can play smooth with >medium Details, still some fun with the Demo.

I'am planning i guess, about 100 Enemies should be possible, After the NPC's die.
The Most processing Power is used for rendering the Model, i could hack the Enemies LOD level to keep on level 2. But i prefer some visual against masses.

I wanna remind you the Enemie Multiplicator. You can simply activate it anytime when you play the Map and set LOD level on lowest + Shadows. I think this would help alot.

Probably its not a good idea with the Aircraft. Funny thought but hardly to realize. How do you get there ? Teleport everytime one Passes ? Thats strange.

But if my possibilities were endless, i'd give the player a change to select between fighting on Ground or assist trough Air support :)

I wish to include different Intro-Cinematic (For Matrix Map and '300' Map) But i (still) cant do that.

Controlling Aircraft would be Possible. I'd have to think about if its possible to let the Aircraft Fly and the Player Controlls a Turret.

All these Options like 'Extreme Weapon speed' are in the Mod since a while, i just changed a few to have variation.

There is a Long Camera Flight that keeps Focused to the Base and shows how the Bots Fight against the Invasion and usually fail after 2 min.
This Camera was skipped in this Video.
Dont know what exactly you mean, top-down Camera to play ? like GTA 1/2 ? Meant to increase FPS because less Enemies are visible on screen ? (This would work, but i prefer First Person Perspective any day)

Uhm i intended to have the Map exactly as in the famous "Hot Gates" Fight from the movie.

Small Pass, 1 Serious Sam (which is as good as 300 men) and 10'000 Enemies (persian Gnaars ?) Attacking you.
That is the simple Principe wanting me to make this map

A destructible Gate is a good idea. I think in the Movie they climb over the Walls. I was thinking to let them enter on a flat staircase style thing.

I wanted to have them enter from every Side (in the movie?). But yeah, i realized that this is very hard. Best solution maybe is to have one Gate (or similar) where they enter and after a while they crush more Gates down and open more sides.

The Enemies respawn, because this is the only solution to fake thousands of them Attacking you.

Yeah of course, there will be something big. But it will be behind you (surprise) ;)

(There is this weird Worm thing coming out of a Hole in a SS2 Map. Real shame the back part is missing, but maybe they can be used to one of these giant Worms)

This is not Mental Sammy, Mental Sammy is the Woman.
This is Serious Nukem. A Model i made how Sam would look dressed up as Duke Nukem. He was fitting much better.

The Pillars have each 8 Destructible Parts. I made them most at the Corners to give the best impression of Destruction. There are 10 Pillars, makes 80 Destructible Parts.

Have you noticed the 'Gnaars' wearing Police Hats ?

Hey really i can tell you, the only thing that actually made me do this, is the perfect Kick Animation in Serious Sam 2. It looks so similar to King Leonidas Kick in the Movie, you could almost think they used Motion Capturing and added this Animation to the Movie to use on King Leonidas
