thank you for your comment about stay dead. i'm really glad that you consider my game cool and fun.
the game over comes when you play all the 10 rounds of the fight without take away at least 10 energy points from your foe (it's a sort of game over for 'time's up or round's up' in games like street fighters).
During the fight the rounds left are shown in the up left corner bar, and the foe's energy bar is in the bottom right corner.
about the swastika.... in the end we decided to make one single version of stay dead for all the world, including germany. i hope it's not a big deal :)

Really dangerous, i noticed :) for sure every game has it's own gamer, but, i don't know why, i always thought that a community of gamers likes to try out different things with an open mind. i'm a player since the early '80 and one of my dreams was being able to interact in a movie. During these years (more than 10 years...) i tryed a lot of gameplay style to succeed in my task and now i'm quite satisfied of stay dead machanics. That's why i'm a little disappointed from the community, because they still treat my game as a 'game' without even try it. If you play at stay dead you immediatly see that this 'game' is much more a game than guitar hero or Theatrhythm Final Fantasy.
i really like my concenpt and my wish was to join the community to have constructive feedbacks to improve the game.... Why experimenting with real time interaction in a movie should be offensive for the gaming history/community?

Ok. Thank you for your interest. So, keep watching our moves because we'll do our best to let every one know what's in the box before they give us their money!

ok, wait a second. i can't stand games that born from marketing dept., born from marketing research and itw or games planned to be fun because the market said so. And this game isn't born from markeint dept. for sure. But i have nothing against marketing itself. to sell a game the marketing is vital. We are relatively new to this market and we have not yet figured out well our marketing moves. But i don't think that we'll publish a demo soon, because we have conflicting ideas about demo here at brucefilm. We are experimenting with a video player/gameplay. Maybe it'll be our next trailer. Meanwhile we prefer to let someone else explain the game for us. if you want to know how stay dead work you can look at this: The-games-blog.com. at least it's a beginning....

Unlikely you are 'damn right, all the people that vote from italy came in my help to raise up the avarage rate. But they are all people that test the "game" very hardly, liked it a lot, and was shocked by the fact that this 'strange' idea have low rate based on nothing. all the people that vote from italy loved this "game". last week I tried to make you vote in the most objective way, that is offring to 100 of you the possibility to play the "game" in order to rate it. in less than 2 hours 100 guys downloaded the "game", but only 2 of you (2 peaple out of 100!) gave a vote (that, by the way, it's positive). Every one else reviewed the "game" without even playing it. Is it fair? notice that some videogame sites are starting to review the "game" and they seem to like it. So I'm ok with myself. I'm not trying to cheat anybody here. You're not gonna find my father among these reviews (not because he didn't like it , but 'cause he doesn't play at games). Every vote is based on appreciation. Only people who play it rate it. only people who like the game rate it 10. Cause this is the way I think it should be. Here's a thing: I see you're 18 so I suppose you still go to school. Maybe you play in a band. What would you think if somebody said that your songs suked just by looking your album cover. Maybe you'd answer him to listen that damn album before judging it. And if he'd answer: I really don't have to listen (play) to it to rate it...

yes. happy to answer. Actually there are cuts. there are a lot of cuts, because 'stay dead' visually is more like a movie than a game. A movie with its grammar. The 'new' concept here is that you can move the main character in a flawless way inside an action scene. i didn't shot Super Mario with video, i let you move Neo inside Matrix 'dojo scene'.

that's the judo stage. the fight in that stage is more sport than martial art. but if you keep watching just 12 frames more, you'll see a great technique performed for real and without wires.

yeah! you're right. they died for a reason: that kind of game sucks! i hate that kind of game too. But my approach is really different...

yes, you're right. i also don't think that anyone would buy something that don't even understand. a demo could be a solution, but i'm not alone in this project and not everyone here agrees with a demo. ...let's see what happens... thanks for your post

ok, i respect your opinion. only one question: do you tell this becuse you played it or only by watching our out of sync trailer?

No, we're not dealing with the old laser games from the 80s, i can assure it, because I hate interactive movies, too bad to be movies, too limited to be interactive, and I'm pretty sure that those experiments buried the possibility to create a good game by using pre-rendered graphic and real life footage.

while I believe it's possible to make something very playable out of it.

hi, that's the point, that's exaclty my difficulties to explaing the gameplay.
if I'd show you a gameplay video you'd see "just" a movie and you wouldn't understand that the interaction is in damn real time and overall we're not talking about the not so original quicktime event.

unlike dragon's lair, here, the freedom of moviment is so wide that you'd compare it to a normal arcade game. But, sorry guys, you have to play it to know the difference.
