Hi, thanks for the comment. I'm glad you're enjoying the mod.

You can think of the mod as an additional option in MightyDwarf's menu. It's no different really, apart from having an extra folder :)

As for the other question: I have no plans to change existing gameplay, since the intention of my mod is to simply add, while keeping the original game's essence, what I feel was fair for the Amazon - having a nice variety of combos just like the rest of the characters.

Thanks for the comment. I am aware that this mod is outdated, but I have not had too much time for modding. Coincidentally, just today I had an idea for the F1 menu that is much easier to implement than the one I had when the controller patch was released, so I am working on it again to bring a fully fixed version.

As for the vanilla option, you can simply install the mod (models are replaced on install and are returned back to the original ones on uninstall) and then use BODLoader's "DISABLE" feature, below the UNINSTALL button. This way, fixed weapon models will stay, but neither the new F1 menu (right now bugged in the re-release version) nor the new combos will interfere with your game.

The new Steam version (v88 aka Controller Support) has radically changed how F1 menu works, so it has broken the combo screens in my mod, once again. Gameplay is not affected.
For now, while I work on a solution, to play the new version with working F1 tabs, just delete or rename the following two files from MightyAmazon folder in BODLoader/Mods:

-MightyAmazon_MW.py
-MightyAmazon_MW.pyc (this might not exist if you haven't launched the game with the mod activated)

This will restore it back to the original. You will be missing the mod's combo screen but you can always see the combo keys in the readme files.

(The original 2001 game is not affected, this version of the mod will still work perfectly fine)

This is a great mod, thanks for the fun. It is clear that the many years of development have really paid off... Eagerly waiting for Chapter 2!
The only thing I disliked is how strong the camera shakes are in the first level. I would tone them down a bit, either in duration or strength. They were giving me a headache. And how confusing the last level is. I had to use r_fullbright 1 in order not to spend hours to find the last switch.

@MBK_MBK Yes, the GTX 750ti should work fine. I've been using that one for years and BoD ran flawlessly with it using Windows 7. I don't know about Windows 10 however, since I upgraded at the same time I also upgraded my graphics card to a new Radeon 5700XT. OpenGL doesn't work with this one, I need r3dfx voodoo 1-2 in order to have a smooth gameplay.
To be honest, I'm surprised and relieved I got it to work in all my modern computers. Favourite game.

Classic, I remember this is one of the few maps (if not the only one) you could pick a bow if you got to the top of the map and made a tricky jump to a small ledge. There's also a couple of potions lying around.

Hi Guest, this is what I did:
First extract the mod, and copy the main MercenaryII folder (the one that has all the scripts, pictures and that stuff) to your Maps folder. Then you place the whole folder, the one that has another MercenaryII folder inside of it, in your Mods folder.
After doing that I could choose a character and play.

I've been playing more and gold has been working every time, so it seems ok! Don't worry about that, probably I just messed up something while installing the map.
I have a question about the golem at 1 hp that passes by a window (and then disappears) in the metallic area full of vejetes. Can you kill him? I've tried throwing weapons at him but they go through him. Just give me a hint if you can, maybe he triggers a secret of some sort, or he can't be killed and I'm wasting my time :P

The first couple of times it didn't work even after running about for a while, but it looks like gold is working every time now. Since the bug seems gone for now, i'll just finish the mod and come back to tell you if I had that gold issue again so you don't have to waste any of your time checking what appeared to be an isolated error.

Finally got to play this. There are a couple of small issues that do not actually impact the gameplay itself I have found in my first hour of gameplay.

1- Just an oversight I think, although this is not a problem for a veteran player but could be confusing. Knight's F1 key shows a mastery 1 combo with swords that says "AF + FB + F" but it's actually A + FB + F, right? I can't do any AF+FB combo.

2- Rarely, gold key only works the first time I start this map (for me at least). If I save and load, or I exit to come back later, I can't see my gold anymore, pressing NUMPAD8 does nothing. I have to uninstall the mod, delete in BOD/Maps folder and start again. Could be related to the fact I'm using Spanish version? This happens randomly and not every time, so not a big problem.

Anyways the little time I've been playing this it's been great, enormous effort and hard work put there. Going back to playing it now!

Which combo is it? I remember seeing it in Enemies but I can't remember that animation from the original weapons' combos. (Horizontal slash from right to left using both hands, not Hellswing from the Long Sword, if I'm not mistaken)

If you ever see this, I've just remembered that the first key I talked about is not next to the room with the Amulet of the Sun (this one is, in fact, in the open). It is in the room where you have to PLACE an amulet. Sorry about the confusion.
