My main focus is testing PC games in Linux. I have had a lot of success with PlayOnLinux in Linux Mint! I am working hard at creating step-by-step guides on how to install, configure and optimize PC games in PlayOnLinux. I am also a artist with skills in drawing, sculpture, graphic arts, 3D modeling and music.
Very fine. ;-) Oh, BTW, do you use old Blender plugins to get models into UDK? SketchUp -> Blender -> UDK?
Nice what kind of game is this being used for
Yes I do use Blender plugins for exporting as FBX and ASE into UDK
I have a fancy plugin for exporting from Sketchup into Blender too.
OBJ: sketchup - Blender
ASE: Blender - UDK
FBX: Blender - UDK
This was going to be for a game called Ultasol, but its on hold for now.
Hmmm, so you convert to the ASE file format? Was converting to FBX/DAE and didn't work as expected - too small, no textures.
Yeah, but ASE doesn't export textures either. And yes, the models will be really small in Blender so you have to scale them by 20-60 units to look big enough in UDK. I create my textures by UV Unwrapping in Blender then photoshopping the exported UV image.
Its not easy, but is working for me.
