how do u update the mod

I'm needing some help I have Company of heroes gold edition I downloaded Halloween Re-Release - OLD extracted it to my coh folder the bloody hand icon comes up but it goes to the normal game i changed the path like it told me to but it didn't help I haven't patched the game ether its still at 1.00 if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated thx

I get to step 3 click on the icon but it just goes to the normal game any help plz

I Have windows 7 ultimate and i've been trying to get the zombie mod to work i download it then extract it to my company of heroes folder then it makes the icon come up like it should but when I click on the icon it just goes to the normal company of heroes (opposing fronts) if anyone can help it would be great thanks
