Corporate Addon Mod

Mod review

This mod...THIS MOD...is AWESOME! One of the best mods for FoC and a must-have!

Pros:

*All the different Galactic Conquest campaigns, which either allow you to play through the Galactic Civil War or Clone Wars, or re-enact iconic battles such as the Battle of Hoth, Battle of Geonosis, or the Destruction of the Malevolence
*Plenty of new units
*The KOTOR factions, 'nuff said

Cons:

*General Grievous is all over the place; the land unit doesn't move at all, and the Malevolence is WAAAAAYYYY too OP (but is that really a bad thing? I mean, the Malevolence can single-handedly destroy even the Yuuzhan Vong!)
*The Consortium can't corrupt
*Quite a few starfighter units have the StarViper voice set, such as the Vulture Droids, ARC-170s, even Anakin Skywalker's space unit
*No campaign for KOTOR or Yuuzhan Vong eras
*The vanilla campaign is broken

Rise of the Reds

Mod review

This mod...is an example for mods everywhere. Not only does it continue the story of Generals, it adds two new factions that while, yes, they do re-use sound clips from the second and third Red Alert games, are a whole lot of fun to play as, regardless. The USA, Chinese, and GLA have all received updates, and if the recent previews are anything to go by, the GLA will be armed and dangerous (maybe even borderline OP) in the next update, not to mention the incoming influx of drones for the US.

If you have Zero Hour, don't be a fool. Get. This. Mod. It's still in progress, and there's no campaign as of yet, but believe me when I say you'll be coming up with your own scenarios and assembling the rest of the story like I have.

Might I just say that this is one of the BEST mods for FOC! It has everything you could want from the post-ROTJ era, going from Isard regime to just before the Yuuzhan Vong War.

There are alot of things that make this mod stand out from the others. First off, there's no more tech levels (and as a result, no more 3P0 and R2 or Research Centers). Instead, there is an era system. To advance, the current Imperial leader must be killed. Once the leader is killed, the era advances. With a new era comes new units, heroes, and structures. Beware, though! The new Imperial leader might be more powerful than the last! And you might lose units and heroes.

Second off is the heroes. They made it much more realistic. If a hero gets defeated, they don't respawn. They remain dead. FOREVER. That is, unless, they're due for a new ship. Then they'll respawn. This is done for realism and balance.

There are a bunch of cool new units, too. The New Republic has a ton of new vehicles and ships, like the AAC-1 from "Battlefront II", the T3-B, the K-Wing, the E-Wing, and the Nebula-class Star Destroyer. Imperial units are what you expect, plus the Escort Cruiser, the Carrack Cruiser, Lancer Frigate, Strike Cruiser, Tector-class Star Destroyer, the ability to build more than one Executor-class dreadnaught, plus a bunch of cool new ground units and many of the other TIE variants.

There are some new factions: The Empire of the Hand (using Ascensio-class star destroyers), the Pentastar Alignment (using old Banking Clan Munificent frigates, Skipray Blastboats, and Dark Jedi), and smaller factions like the Duskhan League, Hapes Consortium, and various disorganized Imperial Warlords.

In closing, GET THIS MOD! You won't be sorry!

Return of the Clones

Mod review

This is one of the best mods for FOC! I've always liked alternate histories of Star Wars, and this mod is no different! I even use its story for my own fanfiction series "Jedi Twins"! All of the new units are awesome, the Republic's ability to train Jedi on Yavin IV is the ultimate way to destroy the competition, and the Venators and Freedom are nicely modelled, with laser cannons that ACTUALLY swivel! There are a few problems regarding the campaign and Corruption missions (the Diamond carrier ships are not desirable for use in the Mon Calamari piracy mission, and the Nal Hutta kidnapping mission causes a bunch of weird problems), but these are outnumbered by the amount of MOST EXCELLENT things in this mod! Only a few words can describe this mod: GET IT!
