Where can you start the new quests at?

Only way to get companions is to tick the "Gather companions" box in the character creation menu. All of them will spawn in the tavern of the Weeping Town

Get your companions' strength to 21 for 7 power strike and more ironflesh + give them heavy plate armour. With such good equipment and hp they can hold their own in battle...it just takes a little time

Use the dragonbone bow ( basically oneshotkill to the head with power draw 6) or try getting agility up to 30 and weapon proficencies to 250 :P
