Oh hi Mattjes, how is it going? ^^
I liked SG-1 and SGA a lot, but SGU shouldn't have been released as a Stargate Spin-Off - it feels like a completely different show, that has nothing in common with the other two series. I kinda liked SGU but didn't think of it as a Stargate-Series.
Also I'd like to present some updates and images, but it's nothing you didn't already see... Maybe once the jumper is finished.
Btw I'll write a little news update soon that will explain some things and give you some infos for the release.
This is just frustrating - we ran into some really annoying issues lately that need to be fixed before we can finish space mode. All of a sudden multiple meshes are not being rendered and nobody has a clue why that is happening. -.-

New Solider-Models are planned, but for the moment we concentrate on completing the space mode. I think you all waited long enough for a release. ;)

Our team has been working on the battleship-interiors for some time now, I'm looking forward to the results. :)
So that's a definite "yes, you can board the ships and blow 'em up". :3

Just to let you all know: we are still making progress! Our own Scoring-System is now up and running and the balancing is doing pretty well. Only big problem atm are missing 3rd-Person animations. :/

Well Mattjes' post was not an official statement from us but yes, the big ships will act as real titans, whose cores must be destroyed from the inside (or bombarded from outside). :)
The battleships will stay static as we already hate moving-titan maps in the original game. :o

I'm studying physics at the University of Vienna and trying to get into OpenGL/GLSL programming lately. I began to mod Freelancer some years ago and lastly I joined the Universe Modding Crew that focuses on modding Sci-Fi games. Our current project is "Stargate: Revenge of the Fallen", a Stargate mod for Battlefield 2142. Besides, I try to develop a Spacesim-Engine that can simulate (special) relativistic effects in a realtime application.
