The fade out effect was great, perfect. It's the blue octabrain and the rangers that are the biggest headache for me. The standard octabrain's attack is fine, but the there's something in the blue octabrain's that disagrees with me, it could be a texture, script animation or even frame rate. The Ranger's Electrogun needs adjusting too as it gave me a headache too. I had another play last night and I had to quit on the Toxic dump level of LA Meltdown. I'm not trying to be picky fussing or nagging, I want to help you get this right and I'm doing it at my own personal risk. I understand what it's like as I do 3d art on Blender meself, so trust me I DO understand.

This is good but I can't give it top marks. Yes it's an improvement over the last one, but I don't think the people who did this had epilepsy users (me being one of them) in mind when they did this. You change weapon, it flashes. You save a person from a pod, it flashes. An octabrain does a close attack on you, it flashes. I don't think I need to go on. I'm going to have to give this an 8 maybe 8.5 out of 10, because you've made it nearly impossible for epilepsy users to enjoy this without having a seizure and a trip to a hospital. I nearly had a seizure myself playing this.

I've divided my review of this mod into pro's and con's with one that is in between.

Pro's:

- Great mod, packed with lots and lots of fun.

- Very well thought out and planned.

- Great voice acting from Batsuey.

In between:

- If you play as Bombshell (which I did), on very rare instances you'll hear the Duke talking even if he's not with you.

Con's

- This is NOT a standalone game. it requires a genuine Duke Nukem 3d game. I had to use the World Tour. I'm also sorry to say that the "Megaton Edition" does NOT qualify as I tried it.

- Not really recommended for people with epilepsy. When you shoot one of the monsters or aliens they flash white and, being an epileptic myself and a fan of Duke, I nearly ended up having a seizure a couple of times.

Summary:

I whole heartedly recommend this, I really do. I give this a score of 9 out of 10.
