Love It!!!! I've already convinced a dozen people to buy Sins of a Solar Empire just for this mod. Great work guys.

Looks like a cross between a TIE fighter and a 'puddle jumper' from Stargate. It does have that bulky bomber look but could do with a few touch ups. Not bad though.

Frankly i don't really care whether the rachni are ever included in the mod. I would never use them anyway. However, I had read a number of posts from others suggesting introducing them as a separate faction. Obviously this would be difficult and time consuming as there is nothing really to go on with respect to rachni ship designs. I also recognised that there are still a number of ships required to complete the reaper faction. I was merely suggesting a plausible/realistic solution to both of these problems. Introducing rachni will satisfy those who wish to use them, and add some much needed diversity to the reaper faction.

In the end I enjoyed this lively discussion and cannot wait until the mod is up and running :)

When you find the Rachni Queen on Noveria she says that she was unaware of why the rachni went to war against the galaxy.

While in her egg, the Queen heard only the sounds of "oily shadows" and a "tone that hushed one voice after another" and "forced the singers to resonate with its own sour, yellow note." In other words the reapers were indoctrinating the rachni.

You have to remember that the reaper invasion was delayed, forcing sovereign to find an alternative. It is highly likely one of sovereign's earlier attempts to destroy civilisation (before the geth existed) was using the rachni as the protheans had done.

The reapers initiated the rachni war! They forced the rachni to send hundreds of thousands of ships against the council (and other races) races!! So it is entirely plausible to use rachni in the reaper faction!!!

And there were no collector ships left at the time of the reaper invasion either. SO what your saying in your last sentence is that there should be no collectors in the reaper faction of this mod either!?!

The rachni have been historic allies with the reapers. Their ships HAVE been sent against the council races in the past (just like the collectors) and therefore it makes perfect sense to include them!

I read someone's suggestion about introducing a rachni faction. I think it would be a good idea to include 1 or 2 rachni ships in the reaper faction. After all the rachni were enslaved by the reapers and used as shock troops.

You could use the Tyranid hive ships from the warhammer 40K universe as a foundation.

Dude, your "book" sounds exactly like the plot to Mass Effect!

only just got around to playing the newest release...LOVE IT. Goa'uld ships look great. Game is balanced quite well. Cannot wait until it is completed.
