One year later...
The end of the mod is near.
Coming along! I took a bit of a break during the Holidays, and earlier this year with work ramping up, but I've just completed a huge milestone in normalizing projectile damage, distance, speed, and accuracy on a hardpoint level. I had no idea how grueling that would be...
But the mod plays so much better with uniformity and logic behind it!

I love Maul and Qui-Gon, but I'm really trying to go far a canon CW mod. I know Maul was alive and (somewhat?) well during the Clone Wars, but I' not sure how to use him? What faction would he be aligned with? I really don't think he cared much for the CIS and certainly not the Republic and Jedi!

Been working a ton on map overhauls. It's amazing how much impact the map has on gameplay. Units are super important, but now the physical environment they play in must be made to best accommodate them!

You’re in luck! All of those commanders (except Ponds as Neyo will be deployed with the 91st) are in the game and working :)
Currently, it's the larger variant. I don't even think in the Clone Wars we see the 1,088 m variant, just another version of the Providence we saw Trench using. Watching scenes with Invisible Hand in RotS, I'm not even sure it THAT ship is 1,088 m either. That seems wayyyy too small given shots of the hanger bay (MTTs can BARELY fit in one at that size, yet look quite comfortable in the film), the ship next to the 845 meter-long Munificents (they can't be just 200 meters shorter...), and the broadside with the Venator which is supposed to be larger than the Providence (Invisible Hand appears to be considerably longer than the Guarlara).
Perhaps. I'm thinking at the very least including the Tactical or Super Tactical Droid that will serve as both a ground commander (but BETTER) and as a space commander who exists on the CIS fleet's most powerful ship (as his flagship).
Adding in some space commanders would't be a hassle at all if you think they'll be a good addition to the gameplay. Just let me know what you think!

Gameplay-wise, I'm not sure where they'd fit, especially since the Republic already has their fighter, bomber, interceptor, and fighter-bomber units already in-game. I'm not sure where the Headhunter would fit into that without being redundant. Any thought?
Magna Guards will only guard hero units, such as Grievous. Are there other situations where they'd be used? I do love those clankers...
Good call. These are just the standard ground army units built in droid and vehicle foundries.

I’ve just about finalized the unit roster for land. I’ll be posting a full roster (land and space) here in a day or two!
I don't have a hard date yet... but we're definitely in the later phases of the mod! Nearly all new units are in, and adjustment to game-play and balancing are going on now. The last thing that needs doing after that is updating and proof-reading the unit, planet, etc. descriptions in the encyclopedia. I've got all of those in a master spreadsheet so I can knock that work out pretty fast!

Correct! Most of the units are wrapped up.The last (and kind of a big one) to get working is a re-rig of the munificent. I'm also making some tweaks to the building system as well, and working on some elements to make bases a bit more involved in ground combat. EaW vanilla ground combat is probably the most difficult thing to be working with so far :/
Of course! Each clone battalion will have some of their heroes included.

Two types of Providences? Do you mean the smaller and larger versions as the CW show alludes to?
Absolute correct there, Petellius! Infantry units will be composed of squads. It’s really just more in line with the game’s core mechanics- even if it does make for, at times, 18th century combat IN SPACE.

I've gone back and forth between 10 and 20. Currently it's at 20, but that poses challenges for invaders who have just 3 or maybe 5 at a time. I'm trying to keep things balanced, but also want large-scale, epic ground combat as well.
So far, just the ships deemed "carriers", like the CIS Dreadnought and of course, Lucrehulk.
Other CIS ships will carry just a fighter and interceptor escort, just no bombers.
