Biography: I play fair, friendly, and have fun.
Location: Residing in Japan.
Interests: Gaming, Modding, Archaeology, Zoology, Running, etc...
Occupation: A bit of this and a bit of that!
I played through the demo version of F.E.A.R. Complete Edition and it was very atmospheric throughout. I hadn't played for a number of years but 'she' was just as, if not more, creepy than ever. All the best for the future plans.
Marco is superb as always.
Yes, it will.
It's on the KF Vehicle Mod | Sandcrawler.net server at the mo as a stand alone mut :)
The key you use for opening doors will get you in.
For drive by shooting you'll have some scope for aiming but it'll be limited. The driver will have to work with passengers to ensure you're lined up effectively.
As passenger hit your Alt-Fire key and you can ZOOM.
We're slowly compiling a list of servers running the mod here.
I hear what you're saying about the ragdoll physics and we'll take a look at how far we can exploit what we've got available it for the future. The KF OldSchool mod took the ragdoll effects beyond the retail default and it may give some inspiration.
Most indeedy Greg2k2. :)
Yes, it will work with Steam Killing Floor just fine.
Have fun in there kazumo.
It's just been authorised, lovely. Now to spread the word and have some fun.
Here's the official notice of what's to come. Shouldn't be long now.
Official Heads Up - Required Killing Floor Update Coming
A required update for Killing Floor dedicated servers is planned to be released this Thursday. We should be able to provide dedicated server admins with early access to the dedicated server files for updating, but this will depend on how quickly we can complete our own testing and how quickly the files can be deployed to Steam. The new content pack includes:
- 3 new levels - three of the best grindhouse map making competition maps polished up for official release
- New firebug weapon - not what you might think :-)
- Balance changes/fixes
- Bug fixes
- 4 new DLC characters
- 1 "locked" DLC character, which will be unlocked by a method to be announced soon
It felt sooo good knowing that scream would be her last.
The Winchester Pub is in the 'Sawn of the Dead' map by chewmyheadoff.
We played around with it to check its viability for the mod and due to the numerous back alleyways and non looping roads it wasn't really working out in its default state. Saying that, it's on the cards for a revisit now that the backlog is clear.
I think that's it for Coop Warfare generalflood.
Let's see if the native Coop in F.E.A.R. 3 takes us beyond Coop Warfare.
Agreed. Apart from very few token regions, the text on a riot van is written the correct way around. It would seem logical when a riot van's primary function is for 'public order' duties and will be visible face on.
The riot shield is very realistic and the detail from inside looks sharp. It's going to be so very much at home in West London.
With trucheons in place of lollies, the red stuff in place of strawberry sauce, and teeth in place of hundreds and thousands.
A new stash will reappear under the dashboard on every respawn :)
Extreme indeed, but spend a weekend in Brighton and you'll see.
These vehicles were ported from UT2004 by TheBlackCheetah. They will prime you for the mod and are a great community addition.
Yep, for one and all with Killing Floor (regardless of where you bought it), this will be a free download.
Not with the initial release but there's always something cooking on the back burner ;)
The van steers oh so sweetly and pulls some of the most amazing hand brake turns. If you're travelling at high speed and pull one into a crowd of Zeds the carnage is very stimulating.
The initial release will include at least 10 maps so you'll have plenty of environments to choose from.
And a nitro propelled lawn mower.
It as sooo unbelievably close. The van had 7 health left and it was all down to the last second. Had the Patty got off one more shot we would have been toasted.
Won't be long kazumo. We performed a full server closed Beta test yesterday and all went very well. You'll see a news article about that soon.
Agreed, a few waves in the dark and narrow confines of KF-Manor and its underground basement will be sufficient to bring anyone's latent claustrophobia to the surface. And once outside the manor there'll be little grace as the Zeds spawn behaviour causes players to be quickly surrounded. And if you venture into the rocky tunnels then it only gets worse. KF-Manor offers the extreme opposite of KF-Tricky and is very much a purist's delight.
The full batch of maps released with the mod will display a wide spectrum with a weighting that is certainly more towards the tighter range. One map already previewed, Multistorey Carpark, demonstrates that effectively.
The Killing Floor Vehicle Mod offers a solid gamemode and the mappers have the freedom to interpret how it will fit in the environments they make. The retail map KF-Farm is on the extreme end of openness synonymous to KF-Tricky, whereas the retail map KF-Wyre offers a claustrophobic basement but a more open forest floor with a wide visual range. Even the open top parking area of Multistorey Carpark is deceiving as the Zeds make their entry in a most unorthodox manner and can be on your tail instantly. The sense of impending doom this creates is certainly one to remember. All in all there will be something for everyone with a little something extra for those who like it confined.
