Excellent mod in my opinion, which improves many, many characteristics of the original game. A setup menu allows you to customize your game (including the choice between 3 AI behaviours), new mechanics makes the empire management deeper.
A "must-have" for any M2TW player, this mods is now completed by interesting submods that are still under development (SSHIP, HURB, Titanium...)
Excellent mod. It brings new weapons, new classes, and makes the game more dynamic, giving us a better feeling of the participation to a galactic-scale conflict!
With a new HUD and weapons from the latest Call of Duty games, this mod doesn't add a lot of content but give an original new feeling to BF2 game.
RTR VII features a good historical accuracy (the only mod where you can find aetolian and achaean greek leagues!), an original minor/major settlements system, number restrictions for some elite units...
But for my part, i would have prefered something easier to handle, like a continuation of RTR 6...
I tried it with BFX, all maps are fine but there are some glitches with anchorhead with names (placeholders). But you've still done an interesting expansion.
Alpha project is clearly one of the most impressive mods for Battlefield 2, providing far better graphics, a more realistic experience (bullets do more damage, no crosshair, etc...), challenging new maps, and, with version 0.2, an exclusive weapon customization system!
All these improvements makes the player feel like he/she's on a new video game!
Definitely a must for any battlefield 2 player!
Some mods just add units create by rescaling other ones, and are fond of "uber T4".
In 4th dim, the goal seems to be realistic units behaviours and characteristics (ships movement,etc...), balanced factions, graphical improvements... Making it the most impressive work done with SC.
Congratulations to the modder(s)!
Enhanced graphics, new map, impressive faction rosters (which are greatly history-respectful!), new starting date (featuring Cannae and Raphia at the beginning of the campaign ), new factions (including belgians and spartans)... Not just a mod, it's a whole new game!
A good mod that keep vanilla's simple mechanics but enhances several aspects of the game, such as graphics, battle mechanics and AI. It features more accurate units with better textures, add new factions, and all this make a great overhaul of Rome Total War.
Edit: Awesome v2.0 !
An "average" mod, not for it's quality (which is great), but because it keeps standard battlefield 2 feeling while it adds some touches of realism (like a more realistic sprint, bleeding, etc...)
Good job, let's continue like this, and add more weapons, more vehicles...
Edit: With version 0.5 and Special Forces version, GS mod adds more and more content while improving the AI. This deserves now a 10/10
